The wait was just enough over the limit to make me wonder if I will ever special order a Ford again!   The very positive reviews of the new V-6 2011 Mustang have both surprised and delighted me. My last Ford was a Sunliner with the 312-inch TB Special V-8. Does the new V-6 get a new (and hopefully improved) 6M transmission?   Hi billybobjones. Ford is not currently providing lease support on the 2011 Mustang. That means that you definitely do not want to lease one right now. Doing so would be very expensive.   Yeah the engine video cuts out on this site. I think in the full video it goes to 7000, or near enough. I actually think the 4.6 (from 2010) sounds better from the outside. The 5.0 sounds bigger, yes, but it has a mellower tone, more growl than bark. Like the Challenger. I think I'd get new exhaust if I bought a 2011 GT.

  OMFG! I've been waiting along time for the 5.0 to come back!! 412 hp. is nice with 390 torq. I was kinda mad cause the engine dyno test kinda locked-up on me and didn't get to see the final rpm. Ford is hands-down the king of the road with that. Long live the Mustang!!!!!

  Cool... motor sounds awesome and in the relatively light Mustang should be as quick as the Camaro and retain the Mustang's handling advantage. Was close to pulling the trigger on a '09 GT Track-Pak and the supercharging it, but now I'm waiting. With this coming soon, Ford's going to have to really incentive the 4.6L cars.

  According to AutoWeek, Ford will leverage the Mustang brand for the next generation by adding a sedan and wagon to the Mustang line. I think its a great idea, and only wish they had done this for the current generation.
