It's still ugly as all get out! I can't wait for the new redesign!!! Not sure where Acura is going here with their designs but obviously the sales numbers are proving nowhere! My 2007 TLS will hopefully be replaced with it...hopefully.. with my fingers crossed! I love Acura in fact recently purchased a second car 2010 TSX Tech Blk / Tan. Love the car! It was more subdued than the TL. ... Read More

Good to see acura addressing it's beak problems - 4 years into the current car- just wondering why it took so long- same could be said of the transmission I guess. 30k cars a year had to be born with that beak_•_ if they only held some focus groups before they released this car they would still be considered a player. Maybe 2012s will bring back the brand. Enjoy the CT ... Read More

I am sure the DOWNTURN in the Economy has nothing to do with any of this? $43K is a lot of money for middle america.... I was concerned about my job like so many other americans, and we are not out of the woods just yet. But I decided to stop worrying and pulled the trigger on my SH-AWD 2010 TL. Glad I did and never looked back! I said this ... Read More

Nothing wrong with a TSX. They're nice cars. If you don't like the TL (or any car, for that matter), it's certainly not worth your hard earned dollars. I love mine. Can't speak to the 2012s. Personally, I don't think the dealers know any more than any of us for the same reason you mentioned....Acura is so tight lipped. I've got my own theories. Acura has been talking hybrid. I'm betting ... Read More

Thanks for the input graphic. I was talking to my local Acura tech yesterday and he heard a rumor of 350 - 365 HP Acura TLS 2012. He said just a rumor but nonetheless from the same credible source just before the 2007 TLS was released. I guess we will have to wait and see. He said Acura is always sealed tight on any new projects like Fort Knox! :D I ... Read More

gbosil....there's been a lot of talk that the SH AWD is the Type S version of the TL. No one's heard anything about the Type S. From what I've read and heard, the 2011s are going to be the same as the 2010s...maybe some minor tweaks here and there. 2012 will be the year for a mid-cycle refreshening. Maybe a Type S then? That said, it seems like Acura has been ... Read More

Exactly, Acura screwed themselves on the RL just like Nissan, until the newest generation of course, did with the Maxima and Altima. They made the Altima more powerful, nicer materials, etc over their flagship Maxima, which then in turn hurt the Maxima b/c the Altima was cheaper and you were getting more for your money. Thankfully Nissan rectified this problem with the 2009-pres Maxima but will see if they screw it ... Read More

Autoblog leaked what looks like the early 2012 MMC changes coming to the TL in April of 2011. The TL is going to get a front and rear facelift and hopefully some package changes and feature additions. It looks like the grill is going to be changed to what is going to be on the new TSX wagon! http://www.autoblog.com/photos/spy-shots-2011-acura-tl/#3157519 They say its the 2011 TL but most of us on acurazine ... austin...you're welcome. Hope you find what you're looking for. I believe you'll really enjoy your test drives. If Acura goes the way they have in the past, I would expect a refreshening for model year 2012. I don't see any changes in styling, as it's been adapted across their entire lineup. They'd have to dramatically change styling direction across all their models. I know I've seen people who have chastised Acura ... Read More

Acura is typically really closed lipped about changes to upcoming models. If they go by their normal schedule, I expect a refreshening for the 2012 MY. Probably some minor tweaks here and there until then. That's just a guess, though.

I don't think first model year is inherently bad especially coming from a quality company. Major updates are usually 2-3 years into the model anyway and don't forsee any tremendous changes 2010 other than the 6MT. That being said I'm weary Honda will finally come out with their 6AT in 2011 or 2012 but don't think I can wait that long. Other features TL lacks this year compared to competition (335, ... Honda/Acura are working on a 6 speed automatic transmission but they didn't have enough human resources to develop one. I'm sure the 2011 RL will have a 6 speed. Maybe the 2012 TL facelift will have it for sure.

Yes the type-S might not be until 2012 though. The 09 TL will set the style standard for the new Tier 1 Acura. It's said to be quite a looker. Apparently Edmunds and others went to Louisiana to go see the new TL. Maybe it was a dealer event but it looked like the press event. People say it will be a hit. It will grow larger.
