You're very welcome penn2. A lease rate of 1.2% is indeed attractive. Saab's current incentives are scheduled to run through the end of February. It's difficult to say what its March program will be like at this point. Car_man Host Prices Paid: Buying & Leasing Experiences Forum

Happy New Year Car Man! Am hoping the new year will bring better or at least reasonable leasing options. Am in the market to lease within next 30 - 60 days and am considering typically - equipped (which I guess means fully loaded) Aero @ 36 mos term and 12k/mi. What is current MF? How would that figure for lease payment ? Also - do you anticipate any incentives (not a ... Read More

  • Test Drove new SAAB 9-5

    Written by: dp118 on Aug 27, 2010 3:28:38 PM

I just returned from test drive of the new 2010/2011 SAAB 9-5 Aero for the USA. I currently drive a 2003 SAAB 9-5. MSRP was just over $50,000.00. Puts it in competition with the Audi A6, BMW 530, and Mercedes E Series. I was impressed with the car and there is much to like about it. It will have an uphill battle against the stalwarts in this category. Personal observations (beyond ... Read More

"Price! I just configured one like my wife's and it was $55K. WTF? I know it's AWD, but so is an $18K Subaru Imprezza." Do you really expect a high-end, sophisticated, ultra-engineered European sports sedan, with AWD no less, to cost the same as a plebian vehicle from a mass manufacturer such as Subaru??! The new SAAB is a profoundly refined car. It is the equal of many fine European automobiles ... Read More

I wanted to love the new 9-5 Aero, and I did. My wife just traded her '06 9-5 Aero for Lincoln MKS. I think I liked her 9-5 even more than she did. And I must say I was impressed by everything I've seen and heard regarding the new car until............. Price! I just configured one like my wife's and it was $55K. WTF? Just saw it at the NY International Auto Show, and came away very impressed indeed! Actaully, it was quite a surprise: I wasn't expecting much, but the seating was exceptionally comfortable, but not too comfortable, the design lines are very nice, unique, but not radical (Cadillac CTS, etc.), and now I just need to drive it. Unfortunately, when I asked about the price, they said it would be in the 40's, ... Read More

We'll see what's offered here in the states. Sure looks pretty, and some interesting new features (AWD). Hope "Premium Luxury Sedan" (per website) doesn't mean $55K.

New Discussion title created to discuss the all-new 2011 Saab 9-5. It will feature three, new more fuel-efficient engines (1.6 I4 turbo, 2.0 I4 turbo, and 2.8 V6 turbo). With them having very small engine liter sizes, it is possible that the new 2011 Saab 9-5 will be the most fuel-efficient luxury sports sedan in its class. What do you all think?
