    Test drove it two weeks ago and again last night and today and decided to buy it. They had to hunt down the silver one for me but should have it Monday night. I loved it, the engine is super quick and very impressed. I still can't believe I just bought a KIA.

    Just picked up a new LX awd Sportage. About 150 miles on it so far. White with the black trim. So far so good. Only negative would be the radio sound quality. I may jsut have to fix the settings. Leased from Quirk Kia in Ma no high pressure did most of the work via email. FRank

    Have any of you bought a 2011 Sportage EX AWD with Premium/Navigation, and what did you pay for it? I looked a t a dealer in NYC and they were selling above MSRP! I wont pay 30K for a Kia; 25-26k, yes... Any insight?

    How about the rear visibility ? Drove behind a 2011 Sportage yesterday... The smallness of the rear window... made be think of an armored car ! Window seemed small and very high up... Can you actually see what is behind you?

    New Intake manifold? Same design or is there an update to the design? Do you find the the front seats comfortable? Like I said the Florida rental nearly ruined me for even looking at a Sportage.     I think the existing 176hp is not really strong as compare to others similar cuv with the same in-line four cylinders like Chevy Equinox, GMC terrain, etc. They all get at least close to 200hp don't underrate the 2.4L you need to check out the weights of the Equinox and Terrain (3761 - 4203 lbs) with a base 2.4L engine at 182hp.     I don't know what to believe anymore... Please tell me that Autoweek got the dates wrong for the Optima. If you read the article, it says that the Optima is out "next year", and then the Hybrid out "1st quarter of 2011". Aren't they really the same timeframe?     I think you are right, the weights of Sportage will compliment it hp due to it is lighter compare to those Chevy and Terrain. Thanks, i never noticed that... good catch. :) I will go for a test drive this weekend and will report back how it feel.

    No pics yet. But I've read an article on insideline.com that Sportage SX (turbocharged 2.0L with 270hp) will arrive in January 2011. I really like the look of the new Sportage over the Hyundai Tucson. But I prefer the license plate on the tailgate like the Tucson. There is too much open space on the tailgate of the new Sportage, plus a lack of third quarter windows.

    Diesel acceptance is related to fuel availability. Europe has better diesel fuel, and you need good fuel for long life. I looked at the VW Jetta Diesel, and almost bought it. Waiting for the Tiguan to get the Diesel now. The Kia Sportage is related to the Hyundai Tucson.     Thank you for the information and this is good to know. I will be taking a good look at the turbo Sportage when it comes out in a few months plus will be reading the reports on the Sonota turbo since it's the same engine! Expect DFI and turbos will be the future since it does not look like the US will accept diesels!

    according to Michael Sprague VP of Marketing for KIA US, the turbo will by available a "few months after launch", so I guess it depends how quick they can get the first vehicles to dealers and then you can judge from there.

    Yeah, but how many will check the specs? Turbos still have a bit of a reputation, undeserved or not, in the US. The typical buyer would probably prefer a small V6 over a 4 or a turbo - 4.

    as there doesn't appear to be a thread for the new up coming redesigned model, I thought its time to start one. It was already announced in the Geneva Auto Show and then introduced to the New York Auto Show at the beginning of April. It should be in North American showrooms this fall.
