I am a newbie and need your expertise. I am 2 payments away from the end of my 39 month FORD lease on my 2007 base Red MKX (great car). My payments are $403 month (including tax), for 10,500 miles/year - odometer at 26,500 now. I put down $595 out of pocket at signing, I'm looking at the lease and see amount due at signing says $3693 so that must have ... Read More
My husband and I finally got our hands on an MKX this weekend. We had a blast driving this car! Things I liked: Its very luxurious and quiet. Everything you touch inside the car exudes quality and luxury. I really liked the seats. Out of all the suv’s I have test driven (Audi, Lexus, Infiniti, Murano, 2011 Grand Cherokee … the Lincoln is the most comfortable. I love the steering wheel ... Read More
Blis is something I would really like to have. I have driven an 01 Pathfinder for the last 10 years. I'm definitely ready for an upgrade and a cushier ... less trucky ride. I have my side mirrors adjusted so that I get more road/traffic view than the side of my car. It works great but there have been times when with the higher ride height of the suv, smaller cars ... I am working on a deal on an MKX that is fully loaded at $49k. So far I can only get $3500 off list. Noticed Ford posted a small $1k incentive today on the Lincoln website if you pay cash. Saw the same on the Ford Edge yesterday. Forget the Lexus - there's no comparison with the technology in the new MKX. It will take years for them to catch up. ... Read More
Has anyone driven or seen the 2011 MKX yet? I was just wondering if Lincoln was going to have the new MKX available before their summer sales incentive ends Sept. 7th?
I found your post very interesting as I am just now considering the acquisition of an new 2011 Lincoln MKX. I am comparing it to the new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited which is a very nice ride indeed. I had also been considering the new 2011 Subaru Outback Limited but that consideration is marred by the fact the new Outback has a shaky steering wheel at highway speeds, which is ... Read More
We have a 2007 MKX (black w/black, Ultimate & Elite pkgs) which has been an excellent vehicle. The new 2011 model is just now hitting the Central Florida dealerships. We were very surprised to see the jump in pricing for this year. A new well-equipped MKX is about the same price as the comparably equipped flagship MKS sedan. A comparably equipped Lexus crossover is only $1500 more. Just wondering if anyone ... Read More
Now the news is that the MKT, like the Ford Flex, will be going away in 2013. No second iteration for either one of these relatively new efforts. Ford has had no luck lately with these people movers/minivans/CUV-like wagons. Neither the Freestar or Freestyle caught on. The Taurus X was no better sales-wise. The Flex has largely been a sales flop too. Not that any of these were/are not good vehicles, ... Read More
I see that Edmunds.com has 2011 pricing now. I don't know if it is accurate. The pricing is still not on the Lincoln website.
I am very interested in the 2011 MKX and signed up for current news on the Lincoln website. The only thing I see so far is summer availability. I also read somewhere that June 7 was the start date of manufacture. If anyone hears when they will start to be delivered to dealers, please post it here.
Why not wait for the 2011? HUGE improvement if you can wait a few months. If not, try the lincoln website. I believe they have a national locator service available.
Time for the Grinch to toss his 2 cents in: 4 *NEW* models due by the end of THIS year to take on Cadillac, BMW and LEXUS??? - Well first, I thought Lincoln was supposed to compete with Buick? Have they changed direction AGAIN?? - Second, 4 NEW models?? Hoo Ha, what BS. They're talking about: the MKZ - is that NEW??? A bigger thirstier engine does not a NEW car ... Read More
