That's just another reason to convert American to metric system. In Canada, like in almost the rest of the world, we are using the "liters/100km" which is exactly the same as the new standard you are talking about. Comparing a 10L/100km to a 8L/100km car, you save 2L/100km Comparing a 7L/100km to a 5L/100km car, you save "2L/100km" I know, I know, not necessary to switch to metric system to have the equivalent in English system. Simply convert from mpg to gpm and that's it. But metric system is more convenient for everything, even for gaz consumption...! Trebby
