| Acceleration comments | Doesn't approve of pedal overlap and the benefit from getting the little it allows becomes a wash by the quarter-mile. Engine rpm is nearly at redline by 60 mph (or so) at WOT. Max acceleration is not what the Nissan VQ V6 with CVT does best. Everyday driving is seamlessly quiet and responsive (yes, responsive). |

| Handling comments | Skid pad: Plenty of lean and tire howling with electronic stability control off (actually it is not and a safety net remains), so throttle begins to trail off as understeer increases. Steering weight doesn't change much at this speed but does give a sense of what grip is left. ESC on takes throttle and dabs brakes. Slalom: With nondefeat ESC, the slalom is a frustrating guessing game each run. Hard to predict what's going to work and what won't. In general, however, the steering is friction-free, precise and linear. Chassis feels more capable than ESC allows. |
