Test Driver Ratings & Comments | |
---|---|
Acceleration comments | Non-defeat traction control, automatic transmission and a small-scale engine in a big box means the Transit requires ZERO technique. Stand on the throttle. |
Braking rating | Average |
Braking comments | Very consistent, straight and controlled. Pedal effort is moderate and doesn't change. Good fade resistance. |
Handling rating | Average |
Handling comments | Skid pad: Non-defeat ESC means you can drive around the pad with the gas pedal on the floor. No technique, yet the Transit remains relatively upright and steering offers good feedback. Slalom: Excellent turn-in, good yaw response, flat attitude all kept in check with non-defeat ESC. Still, it feels very confident and well-sorted when it probably didn't need to be. |
