Performance
This Camry's engine has 169 hp, which is good for a 2.5L four-cylinder. Still, the acceleration is a bit slow, although it's fine for a low-priced midsize sedan.
Driving Dynamics
Steering ratio is appropriately weighted for a family sedan, but feels dead around the center position. Plenty of understeer during limit handling maneuvers, however it's still tossable and controllable. Everyday handling is OK and predictable.
Ride Comfort
This Camry has a smooth comfortable ride. However it can get a little floaty at higher highway speeds.
Quietness
Near luxury car quietness, with only a bit of wind noise on the highway and a hint of engine noise at idle.
Ergonomics
Big buttons and knobs for the radio and climate controls are well-laid out and easy-to-use.
Visibility
A low cowl line and thin pillars lead to good front and rear visibility.
Seat Access & Space
Spacious front- and rear-seating areas. Good headroom for a midsize sedan.
Cargo & Storage
Large trunk with a wide cargo opening. The rear seat also folds 60/40, creating a huge cargo capacity. Many large and medium storage spaces in the front-seating area.
Build Quality
Exterior gaps are narrow and consistent. Decent interior assembly with a few minor pieces misaligned.
