What our ratings include
Driver:
Date Driven: 3/2/2010
Performance
Good power and drivability from the 2.4L I4, but the acceleration is slow. The five-speed automatic transmission has gearing and shift logic that is well matched to the engine.
Driving Dynamics
Steering has a nice effort at both parking and highway speeds. Decent handling for a small crossover. Firm brake pedal feel with average stopping distances.
Ride Comfort
Well-mannered ride comfort with just a bit of freeway hop.
Quietness
There's only a bit of tire noise and wind noise.
Ergonomics
All switches and stalks are easy to use. There is generally first-rate controls feeling except for bezel switches around the optional navigation system.
Visibility
Front visibility is good with a low hood. A rearview camera is available to help the decent rear visibility.
Seat Access & Space
Great comfort and space for a small SUV with ample headroom. The shoulder room is slightly tight.
Cargo & Storage
Luggage space is more than adequate: two large suitcases and three roll-ons will fit. The center console is small but deep, and there are two small gloveboxes and a few other small storage boxes.
Build Quality
High-quality build with consistent gaps.
