GM Dealerships Closing

As part of its Chapter 11 restructuring process in 2009, General Motors has ended franchise agreements with a number of its dealerships. This doesn't necessarily mean that these dealerships will close for good. Losing a franchise agreement means that a dealer can no longer sell that automaker's vehicles as new, with a factory backed warranty. These dealerships still have the option of selling another brand, remaining in business as independent car lots or auto repair facilities. Affected GM dealerships will stop selling GM vehicles by November 1, 2010, if not sooner.

Village GMC/Buick nee Pontiac in Naperville IL was not previously selling Chevrolet. The Naperville point for Chevrolet is still Chevrolet of Naperville down the street.
