Hard to beat for the money

2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited 4dr Sedan (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 6A)

Review

This is my first luxury sedan in my 33 years of driving. My wife said it was time for me to get a "grown up" car as I've been into performance cars my entire life. I thought I'd hate it, but after 2 months am I glad I listened to her. The electric power steering is a little strange to get used to, but that's one of my few complaints. Above 40MPH this things way faster than you would expect. My last car (Dodge SRT-4) didn't even have cruise, so all these creature comforts are taking some getting used to. I'm a pretty agressive driver and yet my overall fuel mileage is staying around 25mpg. I could have spent a lot more, but I'm glad I gave Hyundai a chance.

2011 Hyundai Sonata GLS 4dr Sedan (2.4L 4cyl 6M)

Overall this is an an amazing car and an excellent value. I drive 400 to 500 miles a week on average and it is very comfortable and gets great gas mileage for the size. I am on my 7th tank of gas and averaging 31-32mpg. Gas mileage goes down quite a bit when speeds exceed 65 and I have gotten 35+ when driving 55-65mph with the cruise control on. Road noise is pretty low most of the time but the low rolling resistance tires can be rather loud on rough road surfaces. For the price this car is an amazing value and is fun to drive and very practical.

Great Value...suspect build quality

Review

My 2011 Sonata GLS w/PEP2 is now 1-year old. From a value for the money perspective, the car is outstanding. High level of standard features that cost way more in the competition. The build quality of the car, however, is very questionable. After only 1-year and 14,300 miles, my Sonata is full of rattles. Door panels, dash, rear parcel shelf, center console...rattles everywhere. The dealer said they would need to remove the entire dash to "attempt" to fix the dash rattle. I normally keep cars 3-4 years, however the Sonata will be traded much sooner than that. Just need to find a suitable replacement.

Best Car I've Ever Owned

2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited 4dr Sedan (2.4L 4cyl 6A)

Review

We purchased our Sonata Limited in November 2010. The car is approaching 5000 miles now with mostly around town driving but several 250 mile plus trips. We moved into the Hyundai from a 1999 Toyota Avalon. We had test driven almost every model out there. Honda Accord, Toyota Camry and Avalon, Mazda, Ford, Chevy Nissan. Everyone had issues that kept us going back to the Sonata. I think the word here is "balance". This car is a value and I was willing to spend a whole lot more. I did not want to pay for Lexis, BMW, Acura features. We don't feel anything is missing. We did not opt for the Navigation system. Our Magellan GPS works great in the cubby below the HVAC controls.

2011 Hyundai Sonata SE 4dr Sedan (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 6A)

Review

I've had my 2011 Sonata Turbo since February and I love it. I could not be happier with the performance, features, look of the car and the great customer service that Hyundai had offered since I leased my car. In addition, the warranty and unlimited roadside service is the icing on the cake. I would recommend the Sonata - or any Hyundai to all of my friends and family. I leased my car from Temecula Hyundai - no pressure, great customer service, great follow up - if you live in the San Diego area I would recommend visiting them if you are in the market for a new car.

I purchased my 2011 Sonata SE in Aug 2010. I have been averaging about 34 mpg driving 130 miles daily. The car has met all my expectation. Smooth ride, spacious, responsive, and great standard equipment. I currently have over 14K miles and the car still seems new. The paint is exceptional and I really like the split leather seats. I was skeptical on purchasing a Hyundai, but so far, the value of this care is great. I really recommend this as a family or first car.

Great alternative to camry

Traded my 2003 Camry SE, this car is great the fuel economy is great I'm getting mid to low 30's. The interior layout is great everything you need is at the tip of your fingers on the steering wheel. Power is good for a four banger. I have owned this car for 3 months and have a little over 4000 miles. I'm hoping I have the same luck I had out of my 03 camry not a problem one. I keep my cars 8+ years. The one complaint I would have is the drivers seat is a little uncomfortable at first but the lumbar support helped greatly. At this point I'd recommend this car to anyone looking for a family sedan. If you'd asked me years ago I'd never thought about buying a Hyundai, build quality is great.

I have had my Sonata Limited for 2 months now, and it has been perfect so far. Great MPG. 35 hwy, and 27 to and from work. I love the navigation and xm data package. Not one rattle and the ride is getting better as the car breaks in. I currently have 4300 miles on the car.

This is our first Hyundai. Between my wife and I, we have put on about 3500 miles (70/30 Hwy/Cty). Gas mileage has been averaging around 27-28 mpg. I am 6 ft. 3 in. tall and my wife is 5 ft. 2 in. We both find the seats to be comfortable and supportive. Our car had a mid level upgrade that came with Nav/XM/iPod/Bluetooth. The 300+ watt stereo with Dimensions brand speakers produces quality sound (not earth shaking) with a variety of music. Interior fit and finish seem to be spot on. Exterior has been holding up well. I just finished a drive to Vegas from L. A. and found the ride to be very smooth, quiet and solid, qualities we didn't expect with Hyundai. Don't pass this car up!

Good overall car, some bad features

2011 Hyundai Sonata GLS 4dr Sedan (2.4L 4cyl 6A)

Overall this car seems to be a good value. Fuel economy is excellent, i average 33.5 mpg on 50/50 mix city/highway. Few negatives though. 1. The driver seat is extremely uncomfortable. I could not find a good position no matter what I did. My legs and hips hurt after 3 weeks of owning. I need a pad on the seat and a pad on the lumbar to make driving tolerable, otherwise pain is unbearable. 2. Engine is rather noisy during acceleration. 3. Cloth seats and some interior trim cheap looking. 4. Bad sight lines. I anticipate getting rid of this car sooner than expected, it is just not comfortable to drive.
