Thanks triathlete77. It looks like either 1) Audi has made too much money and doesnt care or 2) They are not interested in leasing any more. Yes, I have to say too, the 3 series usually does command a bit more than the C-class. I'd have to agree with you on this matter. Also, when I was doing my research, a 3 series came out little bit cheaper than an A4, due to their better incentives and better financing rates. You may be right about C Class transaction prices, but 20% off doesn't happen as easily around here. The BMW 3 series usually commands a bit more than the corresponding C Class as well. The FWD Audi A4 tends to be discounted more than the AWD version is.
When you say less expensive than the corresponding BMW or Mercedes, you might be little bit off there. BMW's and Mercedes' do have higher sticker prices--so you are right in that sense, but when it comes down to 'prices paid', I didn't find Audi's less expensive due to their stingy discounts. For example, at the end of the model year, I've seen the dealer giving out about 20% off of the ... Read More
I'm in California too, but bay area, so do get a fair amount of rain. And of course snow in Tahoe. Nothing wrong with FWD cars. And I can understand your reasoning of not getting AWD. ... Read More
The Audi is usually less expensive than the corresponding BMW or Mercedes. Both of the latter are rear wheel drive and better "driver" cars. The Audi AWD system biases the drive a bit more to the rear wheels and so can compete with BMW/Mercedes/Infiniti. The new generation A4 even in FWD, is more balanced than most FWD cars because the engine has been moved back a bit on the front wheels. ... Read More
I think what he might mean is that Audi's are famous for their Quattro AWD. So if you're not getting the Quattro, there isn't much of a reason to get an Audi over Mercedes or BMW per se.

I don't know if any of you guys have experienced this, but it has taken about 5 weeks for the dealer to find the car. Apparently, dealers in MA are running on slim A4 inventory. They couldn't find me the car I wanted, but found one with nav, prem plus, exhaust tips, metallic color, wood trim, all weather mats thrown in (MSRP - $41,920, Invoice - $39,047). I'll be paying $36,671 ... Read More
