    Ok now it is becoming very unpleasant hour long commute in traffic. What bothers me is the gear confusion in the 20-30mph area......I notice it while stuck in traffic, the car jerks back and forth switching between gears. I took the car to the dealer, the diagnostic check showed no errors and dealer said it is all normal. Anyone else experiencing the same issues as I do with my 2011-528?

    I have had NO RESPONSE so far from "customer service". I have nitrogen filled tires. I receive a monthly email from the dealer reminding me to bring the car in for a tire check.     What's the current story with the 8 speed AT??? The shifting between 1st and 2nd gear is definitely choppy sometimes and I do feel lag in the acceleration. I have also noticed that it shifts pretty rough on the low end downshifting. It is very noticeable in traffic.     I just had the identical problem with my 2011 535i bought in November. Potholes (and not even big ones). All four rims bent and all four tires with blistering. >$4000! Luckily I have the wheel/tire insurance which fully covered it but they still made me pay $200 for alignment.     Hi jrothen4. The selling price that you were quoted looks good, but the money factor is too high. BMW FS' current buy rate lease money factor for the 2011 528i Sedan is 0.00145 for loyal and .00175 for non-loyal customers.     You can't mix and match programs. You are correct that if the current January program with its money factors are better for you that you can select that one. But that means you give up the December program which happened to have $1500 holiday cash. You need to figure out which one works best for you. Good Luck with whatever you decide.

During a test drive with the service manager, he told me that the "computer controlled electronic transmission learns your driving behavior over time".     Here are few reasons which can cause jerking. Check the spark plugs for air leaks on hoses....check the Slow Idle Control Valve clean it with petrol.....check voltage is proper and it is important to check the Fuel Pressure Regulator (FPR). correction in above mentioned areas can resolve your problem.

    Tires, especially on an all-wheel drive vehicle, can have dramatic impacts on tracking, handling, and comfort. It would be interesting to review and correlate problems with a specific brand/model of tire. The last two cars I've bought came with Goodyear tires...I never really liked them. My guess is that the vehicles sold in Europe probably don't come with Goodyears.

    Test drove the 535xi 2 days ago...dealer says that BMW fixed the software problem at the factory for all cars built after august, which includes the x drive models. Judging by the message posted about the pulling to the right issues, this seems to be accurate.

    Did you notice the transmission issues right from the beginning or did it gradually get worse? I test drove a 535xi 2days ago at parking lot speeds and up to 45 mph and did not notice the tranny issue. I was pretty impressed with the car lest the hesitation on acceleration and steering lack of feedback. Good Luck!

    I have the same problem. The car now has around 6K miles. I thought the issue was getting better, but I drove the 2001 5 that I gave my son when I bought the 11 again last night.     every SD drops the MF by 0.00005 up to 7 MSDs for 0.00049 reduction. plus the SD if you are not current BMW owner (leasee?).

    I believe the RV was 55. ( i know the 535 RV is higher). Money factor I cannot recall (my bad). I don't know if this helpful. I've seen other internet deals that were more per month.

    I experienced the same problem with my 2011 535i along with a slight hesitation when accelerating slowly from a dead stop. Dealer claimed problem was not there.

    I'm in the market for the same car - I got a quote on the similarly equipped car - heated seats only instead of the cold weather - $627 including tax with 7 MSDs and I walked away - time is on my side - I feel I could have squeezed the guy to below $600 - JMK BMW in NJ.

    Wow. Check the lemon laws in Florida. North Carolina law states 4 attempts to fix the same problem with no resolution. There are far too many complaints on this issue in the BMW forums. I am not confident the strut replacement or software update will fix the problem. I have not seen any postings in the forums stating either/or both the fixes solved the problem. Keep us posted on.
