I bought the 2011 Sala Red Jetta Sportswagen TDI from Stevens Creek VW in San Jose, CA for $27,775 + TTL with the Panoramic sunroof, upgraded 17" wheels, floor mats, rear airbags, and side moulding. This was Javier's first sale and the whole team was fantastic to deal with. We bought it on March 13, 2011. Absolutely love the car and getting great gas mileage!

That's about $100.00 to $200.00 depending on the car. My daughter bought a 2011 Jetta S. I have a 2006 TDI. The difference between the two is alarming. The new one screams "cheap." It was good for her since it was affordable but for those of us used to a quality car - forget it. I doubt that my next car will be a VW unless they realize they have regressed and correct their error.

I too sat in an 2011 Jetta to day. One word sums it up - "Industrial". The interior while functional is downright plain. It reminds me of sitting in someone's delivery truck. We obviously don't have overly high standards, owning an ION and a Corolla, but nonetheless, we were so disappointed in the new Jetta, we did not even bother to drive the thing. Oh my, that is certainly a bad sign for this new Jetta...getting dissed by Ion owners.

Thats what I've been saying, as a Jetta V owner, the Jetta VI is not very good. No way I'd think about Jetta VI........drum brakes?? Huge trunk hinges that take away useable room in there, and yes I have needed all the room in the trunk a few times. The list goes on and on................is this just a bad dream?

The reviews arent good, the Jetta V gave you 180hp, sure it was a 5er, but they should have been bragging about most hp in a standard engine. Some other car company could've made a V6 standard, but they didnt. I drove a I-5 Jetta V and it seemed ok..........til I drove the turbo 4!!! I don't understand it all, but in 2011 the new Chattanooga, TN plant will start manufacturing a new midsize VW sedan to compete with Accord, Camry and Sonata.
