  They are both decent cars. Remember, the Regal is really an Opel, not that that's necessarily bad. Just don't think of yourself being extra patriotic by "buying American". VW is not tops when it comes to reliability but the CC is essentially an A4 Audi under its skin (a good thing), and it's skin amounts to a rather nice looking car.
