Thanks for sharing the info. Did you use Toyota finance or buy with cash?
Hey! What's the MSRP? Don't go too crazy with the options...you can buy these options online for cheaper and install them yourself such as carpet mats, splashguards, cross bar, body side molding, etc. Also, on May 2011, Toyota is increasing their vehicle prices from 1.2 to 2.2 percent off MSRP. 2011 Highlander 4WD SE current MSRP $34750 May 2011 MSRP $35300 (1.6% increase) http://pressroom.toyota.com/releases/toyota+lexus+scion+2011+prices.htm Good luck!!

The monthly out of the door payment including tax, title, destination, bank fee and GAP insurance is $263.00 per month--yes that includes the NJ 7% tax. Did I make a good deal? Howie Mandel
I recommend Millenium Toyota at Hempstead LI. Bought my '11 V6 Limited AWD for $36.3K with NAV. Someone from previous post also got a similar deal from Millenium. Contact their internet manager Mike O., he should be able to quote you on a good deal. They're a fair dealer compared to others, also try to have them waive the $374 doc fee. Good Luck! :)
Just bought a new 2011 Base Highlander and we are already considering getting rid of it due to excessive road noise that you hear inside the cabin. We had the fortunate (or unfortunate) opportunity to drive the vehicle home after purchase which was a 2+ hour drive from the dealer. After about an hour into the drive, my wife, who was in the seat behind me (I was driving) with our ... Read More

Hooray! Thanks to this website...and all the info re invoice pricing, etc. we purchased our new Highlander today! After shopping around, and not getting our offer accept at another dealer due to the color we wanted was not their inventory. We found the exact model (above in Cypress Pearl with beige interior) we wanted in stock at Millenium Toyota (Hempstead, NY)...that is one secret for getting a lower cost. MSRP $40,340 ... Read More

that $6K gives you HID, memory seat (I believe) and nicer finish from the inside +1 class higher on brand (acura vs toyota). If you plan on selling the car in a few years, go with HL. Got this offer on 2011 Highlander SE V6 4WD: 32124 with SE Package, Tow Prep Package, Cross bars and Carpet Cargo mat. MSRP is 36223 and the invoice price is 33124 including destination $810 and some TDA $500. Total OTD is 35052 with 2.9% APR for 60 months. Hows this offer? This one is good for today. Shall I pull the trigger? Is there any room for negotiation?
My dealership is located in Chesapeake VA.... First Team Toyota. Don't think I'm allowed to post names of the sales staff. Very pleasent experience and can recommend them. If you need additional info, email me.. msdorf@verizon.net Good Luck!!
Bought a Blizz Pearl HLH from Hayward Toyota on 1/31/11 with MSRP 47,169 for 42,358. OTD was just under 47K. According to dealer's computer, it was about $800 below invoice. Most of the negotiation was over email, then phone. Purchase experience was overall satisfying.

Is there anyway you can give me the name and address of the dealer you went too? I am currently in the market for the same model Toyota with many of the same features. I'd appreciate any assistance you could provide. Thanks!
Can you please let me know which dealer you purchased your car from? I am looking for a similar model as yours, and was hoping to use your quote as a stocking horse for some of the dealers I have been in contact with where I am.
I can see that some people trying to come up with Toyota 4WD/AWD conspiracy theories but never bother to drive the thing. Other group of people enjoying real-world performance of this very capable vehicle.

The thing to keep in mind, REMEMBER, is that there is NO such thing as a FULL-TIME 4WD or AWD system for, in the manner, for which you wish to make use of one. Yes, the Highlander, for instance, has a FULL-TIME 4WD system, right up until you reach the point of actually needing to make use of 4WD traction capability. At that point, wheelspin/slip, any one wheel or wheels, the ... Read More

I also have the same feeling about the headlights. Coming from an Acura it is almost blinding and I feel that I can not see anything. They are projector headlamps but still use halogen bulbs. In the manual it talks about the replacement of bulbs and I am thinking of replacing mine. I just have to wait and find something compatible and they will be changed. ;)
Could you please post the MF and residual for the 2011 Highlander SE, 12K miles/year, with top tier credit. I am hoping to find one without any extra packages (I know, good luck with that), though I am assuming the "tech package" is already part of the SE trim. I have 2 months before my existing Pilot lease is up, and I'm trying to compare the HL-SE and Pilot EX. Toyota's ... Read More
SOP... The new projector headlights, especially those with HID "bulbs", are so much better at controlling the beam pattern (forward lighting, not off to the side nor low) that the "visor" effect is required so as to not blind oncoming drivers.
The HL & RX hybrid designs are more about outstanding 0-60 times vs FE. Also, the Toyota HSD system does not do well for FE unless the majority of the time is city stop and go traffic. Personally I'm looking forward to the 2012 Ford Escape hybrid. If you live in the snow zone a base FWD vehicle, the HL, is a fairly unsafe choice.
Just bought my new 2011 Highlander and have driven it a few days. First time driving at night I found out the new headlights are a disappointment. On low beams the headlights have a visor effect. Meaning the lights radiate out and are capped at the top into a straight line. Especially annoying when going downhill over a knoll, as the light distance is reduced dramtically. Has anyone else experienced this ... Read More

FYI... if you have a Costco membership the Toyota pricing is $300 over invoice on all models. I'm working on picking up a 2011 Highlander Limited myself. AAA and some credit unions also have discounts. Make sure to try those out 1st. If you don't have a Costco membership it pays to pay $40-50 for one Actually I think if you're not satisfied you can request a cancellation and refund.
I generally like Toyota, but the new conventional engined Highlander is a disappointment. Only change to mediocre interior appears to be a split, but still minimally usable, 3rd row seat (now mandatory in all models). Fuel economy only meets Honda Pilot and is behind Chevy Traverse, Ford Edge and probably new upcoming Ford Explorer. Same stupid odd sized 19" Toyo tires. I guess I shouldn't be surprised because the updated RAV4 ... Read More

any idea how much lower I can take them? the 2011 HLs should be out in about 3 weeks. did your price include rebate as well? did you pay separately for the options or did they lump it all up into one?

In Houston got offered 33999 FWD Limited loaded Blizzard Pearl but without Nav... MSRP was 38853. Still rumored for US but here it is in Russia">link title http://highlander.toyota.ru/media/Highlander.pdf. Hmmm what to do?

I don't know why some people paying so much for a highlander elsewhere. But in the Boston area, they are selling below 'dealer cost'. I don't know anyone who brought a toyota in the past 2 years pay anywhere close to 'invoice cost'. Even for other brands, people I know consistently get deals several hundreds below 'invoice'. The current HL, as did the previous RX, uses three "simple" open differentials. All four wheels are driven as long as all four have roughly equal, high or low, roadbed traction. Should one wheel slip then TC, Traction Control, braking is used to "restrain" that wheel in order to simulate traction and thereby maintain engine torque at a high enough level for the non-slipping, tractive, wheels to get/keep you moving. I don't see a 2010 Sport anywhere, when will it be out, or are you tlking about a 2011?
When? Toyota supposedly was to unveil a refreshed Highlander for 2011 at the Chicago Auto Show, but that didn't happen obviously.
TC is pretty agressive, for good, stated, reason, on both the FWD and F/awd versions of the HL. Even with my '01 F/awd RX300, supposedly with a VC to enage rear drive with front wheelspin/slip, TC will INSTANTLY activate, braking and dethrottling via EFI fuel starvation. Since TC prevents any and all VC capability the TC fluid formulation for my '01 was changed so the VC remains forever flaccid. The VC ... Read More
My point was that they have made a choice to consciously hold back features that would cost them virtually nothing to offer... 1. Every feature costs something to offer. 2. That is what is cynical about it. Sorry; now I think I know what you were referring to: the cyclical (not "cynical") way that Toyota adds features. I'd go back to my original statement, though: if the lack of memory seats ... Read More
