Hi Car_man: Do you have any input on this? my local nissan dealer told me that for a 12k mile per year lease the residual would only be 1% higher than the residual for a 15K per year lease. This was for a 2011 Murano SL FWD for a 39 month lease. I showed them your forum and they told me you were incorrect and that it is only a 1% ... Read More

This was for a 2011 Murano SL FWD I showed them your forum and they told me you were wrong and that it is not 2% but a 1% increase. Is there any way to verify this info? Can the dealer control the residual?

Most likley a seal leaking. If they can't repair after a third time apply for lemon law with an attorney. Do Not Use the form in the owners manual. I am glad I didn't i would have given up my full rights. You have specific rights under your state that the Nissan rep. will not tell you about.
I have lease company getting a new 2011 Murano SL for me from Nissan. Has there been any major disruptions in deliveries? I know the assembly plants for Murano are in Japan and Iran; I don't think mine is coming from Tehran...
I took the 2011 into the dealer at 1700 miles with the same smell. Of course no one could smell it (imagine that) but they put it on the hoist and said they couldn't find any leaks. They said the parts, exhaust, manifolds etc were coated with a material to keep them from rusting and that it would just take time to disappear. My fiance' bought a 2011 Lexus RX350 and ... Read More

I have the same problem. Discovered it 1-29-2011, The dealer said $800 for seat track assembly and another dealer said $1000-Phoenix,AZ. You shouldn't be smelling something in the cabin when your driving it. I and others had experienced a burning odor when we got out of the vehicles and walked by the engine but that went away after about 3-4k miles. If there is a smell in the cabin that is actually making passengers feel ill then something is definitely wrong. Continue to take it in to your Nissan dealer until they ... Read More

Hey everybody. I've been interested in possibly leasing a 2010 Nissan Murano. As you can see, the lease I have now (2007 Infiniti G35x), will be ending beginning of January. I know there aren't much, if any changes to the 2011, but I'm sure they might ... Read More
