  Hi Car_man: my local nissan dealer told me that for a 12k mile per year lease the residual would only be 1% higher. This was for a 2011 Murano SL FWD I showed them your forum and they told me you were wrong and that it is not 2% but a 1% increase. Is there any way to verify this info? Can the dealer control the residual?

  Most likley a seal leaking. If they can't repair after a third time apply for lemon law with an attorney. Do Not Use the form in the owners manual. I am glad I didn't i would have given up my full rights. You have specific rights under your state that the Nissan rep. will not tell you about.

  I took the 2011 into the dealer at 1700 miles with the same smell. Of course no one could smell it (imagine that) but they put it on the hoist and said they couldn't find any leaks.   I have the same problem. Discovered it 1-29-2011, The dealer said $800 for seat track assembly and another dealer said $1000-Phoenix,AZ. I researched the schematics for the Drivers seat and it is simply a bolt and bracket. Just cannot locate the parts. Filed complaint.   You shouldn't be smelling something in the cabin when your driving it. I and others had experienced a burning odor when we got out of the vehicles and walked by the engine but that went away after about 3-4k miles.   Does anybody know the November Money Factors and residuals for either a 2010 Murano SL-Touring Package or a 2011 SL. 36/15K miles? My lease ends in Jan and I am under in mileage so I am trying to decide if I should get a 2010 now and have Nissan wave the last three months or wait until Jan for the 2011. Any advice is appreciated.

  Nissan won't negotiate buyouts. Most dealers give it back to nissan and then buy it back for less than the residual. Hard to predict what exactly your murano will be worth wholesale in 2011. If you buy you pay cash or go through a lender on a loan.
