I have wanted a Mazda3 hatchback ever since I saw them first came out. I like the new model (I like the toothless smile) and researched other cars around that price range for about 6 months. The M3-hb was for me. So at the start of March 10th, I was planning to get one. Here in my hometown, we have one Mazda dealership. The closest is in Abilene 90 miles away. ... Read More

Hi mazda3mistake, The clunking problem you have sounds pretty severe. The noise that some Mazda3 owners (both hatch and sedan), such as myself, were describing sounded more like a minor "tick" or metallic tap than a "clunk". One thing you could do, to make the sound more audible, would be to drive with the rear seats folded down (with radio off, windows up, etc.) Better yet, have your friend drive your ... Read More
You guys are right, I believe that Mazda only adds 1%, not 2% like most banks add to residual values when converting hem for leases with only 12,000 miles per year. Sorry for the confusion. Generally speaking, the money factor is the most important number to pay attention to because dealers usually cannot alter banks' residuals. Hey quicksilver111. Mazda did eliminate the $400 cash incentive when it introduced some volume-based cash incentives for dealers. Car_man Host Prices Paid: Buying & Leasing Experiences Forum
I am currently having the same issue with residual being 1% lower - but I think the dealer cannot mess with the residual, that is fixed by mazda, so I don't think they are trying to trick you there... Also, I got my purchase price as the best truecar.com price in my area, and I think those already low prices factor in any type of cash incentive that might apply already ... Read More
"I am very excited about the new Focus, the Mazda3 (excepting the smiley front end)...." The 2012 Mazda will be getting a facelift and the smiley-face front-end will be toned down substantially!!! I was ready to pull the trigger on a 2011 Mazda3 s Sport 5-door, but I've decided to hold off and see how the 2012 're-fresh' turns out first.
This is what we paid for our Mazda3s, right? So here we go. Did everything over the phone and internet for 2011 Mazda3 i Touring Manual with no extra options. In the end, driving away with it for $18,000 including dealer fee, 6% tax, registration and tags in PA. So, I would say, the price of the car itself is $16,800. But... While the Mazda3 i SV may be as rare as unobtainium, per the Mazda USA web site, it does in fact have "Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Traction Control System (TCS)" Safety feature listed as standard equipment.
Not Hyundai, not yet anyway. ESC is still missing (not even an option) on Elantra GLS sedan, and the Accent. That will change when the redesigns for those cars come to the US in the next few months. Toyota, VW, and Mazda are far ahead of Honda and Hyundai here--all of their cars offered in the US have standard ESC, I think--even the lowly Yaris and Mazda2.
Hyundai and Mazda pretty much offer it standard across their whole line. Does the base 2010 Mazda3 sedan or hatchback include stability control? In Canada, these are not included in the GX, optional on the GS, and included in the GT.
I'm pretty surprised that the Civic does not have stability control standard. Hyundai and Mazda pretty much offer it standard across their whole line.
Guys, last weekend had chance to drive these 3 cars and also Prius, Altima and Fit. Yea, those were my choices. Fit disqualified because it had uncomfortable seats. Altima is beauty but its options packaged in complex packaging system where it is easy to ... Read More

aviboy97....Do such deals even exist for Mazda 3i touring edition in sedan version? $1500. below invoice? Of course this likely won't apply to 2011 models at this point. Which dealer would even come close in offering this in the NorthEast USA or in the south Florida market?
I'm sure there will be some incentives after 6/30/10 to help move more 2010 models before the 2011s roll in. But there's no guarantee that one of those incentives will be the current 0% APR for 60 months! Selection of color/option combos will also be more limited two months from now, which is a drawback.
