GPS Confirming MPG by patriotpaul on Sat Apr 30 09:28:45 PDT 2011

I just completed 3/4 of my semi-annual sojourn from FL to NH. Naples, FL to Walterboro, SC, to Winchester, VA to Stamford, CT. Each day my trip computer showed just above 41 mpg in my 2011, heavily loaded XLE Camry I4. As an example, from Walterboro, SC to Winchester, VA, my GPS says the distance was 326.2 miles, time traveled 5:24, average fuel economy 40.1 mpg and fuel cost of $29.24 using a $3.77 per gallon price. I have approximately 6800 miles and will change my synth oil for the first time in September. I am thoroughly pleased. BTW. I'm getting sick and tired of all the whining and belly-aching about fuel prices from the public and lame-stream media. I set my cruise control on 60 and from FL to CT the complainers were flying by me doing 70-80 mph. If they want to *itch about fuel prices do something about conserving fuel! OK, off my soapbox.

I had/have this same issue. Itseemsd to reduce when I replaced thr thermostat, the car wasn't getting enough air apparently..... But still have an oil and coolant leak in the rear head gasket :/. Check it out and see if it would help..... Thermostat with gasket (for thermostat) cost me $20 from my local auto repair shop (Winchester auto parts in san jose). Good luck!

2010 Odyssey misfires by rabbit1945 on Fri Nov 05 18:08:24 PDT 2010

I have a 2010 Touring model with 12K. I drove 400 miles to Northern Virginia, my check engine light started to blink and the VSA warning light came on. I took it to Miller Honda in Winchester. I believe all they did was reset the computer. When I pulled out everything worked. The following morning I only had power on three cylinders. I shut off the engine, turned it back on and had full power. 10 miles later the check engine light started flashing again and the VSA came on. It was Sunday so I couldn't go to the dealer. I started for home on Monday. No flashing lights. At 88 miles into my trip the check engine light came on, but did not flash. In the next 312 miles I never went into economy mode. Took the van to Hendrick Honda in Charlotte. They worked on it, checked for foul plugs and did a computer update. The van ran fine for 16 miles. Same flashing engine light and VSA. It has been at the dealer for two days with no solution. Any ideas??

the last GE light bulb factory in the US just closed by dave8697 on Sat Sep 11 19:03:17 PDT 2010

The green replacement, compact flourescents, are made exclusively out of the US. Mostly in China. We legislated ourselves out of many jobs again. Winchester, Va. just lost 600 good jobs that averaged $30 an hour. Way to go BO.

Re: in MA [ipswichgreg] by usfarbuo1 on Thu Apr 29 15:05:33 PDT 2010

If you don't mind me asking what did you pay, please. I'm here in Winchester, Ma. and my last two hyundais (wife purchased a 2010 Hyundai Accent-nice car for her)were purchased from Hyundai Village. I just like to do business with them and their service dept. is very good as well their prices have been fair and also they don't harass you. I've been working with them on a 2011 Hyundai Sonata and they quoted me (with nav).and black leather a price of 26,500. minus 500.(26,000. total) for Hyundai loyalty as I still have my 2006 Azera for a trade in. Problem is I love the 2010 Genesis and I've also been going back and forth with them on a price. Actually, on the Genesis the msrp is 37,300. and they quoted me 33,000 which seems like a great deal. The kicker is this month (April) Hyundai has a 1,500. rebate .on the 2010 Genesis for owner loyalty and get this the offer is only good in New York, Conn, and New Jersey-how weird is that. I know it to be true as I checked it out myself. I'm hoping they extend this offer to Mass. for the month of May. I haven't been to Pride but maybe I should do so. Appreciate whatever info. you can give me. Thank You.
