I live in Tulsa, OK. Last week I purchased a Smokey Topaz EXL (no RES or NAV) as follows: Car: $31,485 Doc Fee: $150 TTL: In Oklahoma, you typically do TTL directly through the state after the purchase. Tax is 3.25% of the purchase price, Tag is $91, and License is less than $15. It's only been a week, so I'm still waiting on the state to send me the paperwork. OTD: $31,635 We put down $15,000, and they gave me $1000 for my 2000 Accord, which had over 220k miles. Regarding the price of the car...I found one dealer who initially offered this price, but they didn't have my color. So I went to another dealer, who had the color, and got them to match the price. They refused to sweeten the deal at all though. I asked for all weather mats and/or splash guards, but they refused. The price was still good though, so I bought it.
"She should have said her favorite show was the Beverly Hillbillies, then at least she could have been Daisey May." Hey driver-- Her name is Ellie Mae! Donna Douglas is the actress who played her and she lives and hails from OK (Tulsa). I'm ashamed the above trivia. 10 years of college down the drain. Gogiboy
On a 1200+ mile trip from Tulsa to Florida with cruise, good conditions and very little wind, I got 35.3 according to the trip computer and figuring it the long way with math, i got 34. 653. Not bad considering I was driving it home brand new from the dealer in Tulsa were I bought it. :)
If you have your VPP number just give it to them and they can provide you with the price. If you don't like the deal you don't have to buy it. There isn't any negotiating. I am sure you know all of this as you are probably a dealer given your posting history and the 'private' designations you have on your profile. The fact is that they were willing to do the deal while the others in the Texas market and some others were not willing to accept VPP. Crest would only negotiate a little off the MSRP on a fully loaded QX56, so we walked. The sales guy - Tux was great at Crest - he kind of got screwed on the deal. Good luck. We love our QX and we would definitely buy from Tulsa again - with or without VPP, because they were so nice and easy to work with. BTW - my friend who gave us the VPP speaks very highly of Jackie Cooper imports and said they have a great reputation which we validated first hand.
could you please give details about the deal you got from Tulsa Dealer. Thanks
