I Got the Fever-ish by laurasdada on Tue May 10 10:21:36 PDT 2011

Greetings, folks: OK, so I've kinda got the, "I want, but don't need, but I'm not getting any younger and I deserve to treat myself once in a Blue Moon to a treat and I spend very little on myself..." new car fire. So, here's what I'm thinking, an eclectic mix, and may sound familiar: Current ride: Lovely Abyss Blue '05 Acura TL, multiple coats of Zaino Z-2 and Z-5. Additions/replacements: '08 Jaguar XK, Pearl Gray: Have had a thing for the XK for some time. Test drove last week, CPO. Beautiful car, smooth and quiet ride. Visibility better than expected, not as powerful as expected. But, no deal breaker. Back seat: rotflmao! On my mostly local 13.5 mile test drive, avg'd over 19mpg per the OBC. Jag offering .9% financing on CPOs. Optional 19" staggered tires. I'm thinking third car, no winter, keep the TL. Also, an '09 in Silver a few miles down the road also available. Not sure this is the best rational, economic decision. '11 Lexus CT200H: I test drove a few weeks ago (and Lexus paid me $100 to do it!!!). I'm just intrigued by the car. I like the simply laid out interior a lot, along with the compact size. Enjoyed playing with the different drive modes. Slow, but didn't seem too slow, and CVT takes some getting used to. Still, was fun to drive. Of course, no supply due to obvious reasons, six on the floor when I tested, all gone. Want to see one with the leather interior, although the Nuluxe seemed OK. But, it didn't fool me as leather. Replace the TL, my winter tire/wheel combo for the TL just might fit on the CT, a plus. '10 or '11 Audi A5. Local dealer has a '10 A5 outfitted exactly as I'd want, loaded ("Prestige" model) with V6. Although Meteor Gray in color, vs the Quartz Gray I truly desire. But Cinammon interior with wood accents, I truly enjoy wood accents in my interior (which my TL lacks). Haven't driven yet. Also, '11 with 2.0T engine I'd plan to drive. Replace TL. '11 CTS Coupe: Reminds me of my beloved VW Scirocco and desired, but never owned, follow up the Corrado (CTS Coupe reminds me a lot of the Corrado, exterior-wise). Available AWD, nice interior, but not, from what I've read, fantastic performance. Poor visibility, better rear seat than the XK. Haven't driven yet. Replace TL. So, that's my current thinking. Any comments? The Jag is special, unique, I think that's what my heart truly desires. But, my pragmatic, New England brain is pushing hard the other way (actually, stupid brain says keep the TL, which I still enjoy very much!).

Comcast had the same box we have now for the longest time. We have two Comcast DVR's. I can't remember the model numbers but the old one is silver and didn't have nearly the recording space the new one (all black) has. When I went to pick up the second one, I was just asking if they had any newer models with HDMI. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it also had a huge hard drive... much more room to record things.

2012 Kia Rio5 SX by phill1 on Tue May 10 05:08:38 PDT 2011

First of all, the 2012 Kia Rio Sedan or Rio5 Hatchback is only available in a 6 speed manual transmission I believe or 6 speed automatic. Secondly, the color shown is probably not accurate but an artist rendering. I hope they make available a really nice "expensive" soft/off white colour like Hyundai offers on its Tucson SUV. I personally hate drab Oxford White. Looks cheap like your driving a utility vehicle. I`m myself am not crazy about Kia`s Cream colour either. Sure, its soft but does not look expensive, looks like an old color that Chrysler put on its PT Cruiser and its Chrysler 300. Hope they have a nice light Sea Foam Green or Frosted Glass like Ford is offering on its 2012 Focus. I`m so tired of Black, both Graphite and Silver Grey, and Pure Oxford White. And IMO opinion, you can kill off Shocking Yellow and Anti-Freeze (Apple) Green too unless your under 21 years of age! The 2006 KIa Rio 5 has been an excellent vehicle and with it 5 year 60 K bumper to bumper warranty has cost very little except for usually maintenance and tire/brake replacement. Just 2 lower seat cushion air bag sensors requiring the entire seat cushion being repaced (under warranty) and 2 electrical engine coil replacements @ $300. One under warranty and one paid out of pocket. All in all, great car.

Greetings from Colorado by michaell on Mon May 09 07:13:29 PDT 2011

I don't normally post what I see, but I'm making an exception. In Colorado Springs on Sunday, I spotted either an R32 or R34 Skyline. RHD and everything. With Wyoming plates! I thought everybody in Wyoming drove pickup trucks. Later in the day, I saw a silver Ferrari. - 360, maybe? Not the best looking color for those - gotta be either red or yellow.

Re: 2012 Civic LX featured lease [Car_man] by sportflyer1 on Sun May 08 18:48:18 PDT 2011

Hi Car_man Thank You for replying to my post. Your second opinion is appreciated. I guessed that the money factor was approx. 0020 , making it an average deal, nothing worse. I just got back from the dealer a few hours ago and I have an appointment to do the deal next Saturday. We agreed that everything will be done according to the feature lease, nothing more nothing less. I will be paying MSRP then. They did not have my color pref. silver or very light blue today. It actually was relaxing negotiating with the feature lease, every trick they try to get you to pay more, you can counter with the fine print. but when all is done I will end up paying over $3200 OTD including first months lease payment
