In short, the NASA Kirshe review of UA goes to prove AMERICA is a LIE Well, other than the omission of the Roswell incident, that just about covers everything...

txtoolman1 Commander's Summer Trip by txtoolman1 on Mon Aug 13 20:09:05 PDT 2007

Ok guys, I took my 2006 Jeep Commander 4.7L V8 3300 miles this summer going from San Antonio, to Midland, Estes Park Col., Moab Ut. Grand Canyon Village, Roswell(oh well) and Metorite Crater. The Commander did not have one problem. With more miles since my last post, I can tell you that my Jeep Commander got 20.5 mpg for the whole trip. This is not an exaggeration! The only problem I had was at the end of the trip it had used just at one quart of Mobil One oil. The wife was impressed by the 6 CD changer and speaker system. The radio gets OK reception, but there were some places in New Mexico and west Texas that had few stations in reach. I love this tank of mine. :)

Roswell of Mazda couldn't beat Hennessey. Their best offer was $31788.00 not including $795 and processing fee was $100 more. Jim Ellis also couldn't beat it. They stayed at $33,100.00 not sure about processing fees or destination. They did say this was with 0%/60mos I wonder if visiting the dealerships at the end of the month would be better.....this is what Ive heard anyway. Im starting to think Hennessey is the best at least on the day I went. No one wants to give you a copy of their offer.

I visited Hennessey Mazda in Morrow, Ga today and after 2 hours test driving and negotiating I walked out at a price of $30,999.00 and OTD price of $33,800.00 MSRP was 36,795.00 for 2011 GT FWD with all packages but the NAV package. I told the Rep I wanted to talk to another dealer before making my decision as I had already made plans tomorrow to visit Roswell Mazda. I do believe they would have come down at least another $500.00 possibly more if I told them I would buy today. I'm shooting for $30,000 plus TTL. This was a cash offer. The 0% financing at 60mos was on the table at $32,000.00 but off the table at $30,999.00 It will be interesting to see what Roswell Mazda says with my experience with Hennessey.

It appears the report did little to change very many minds on this issue. I disagree - that is only true here in this thread, and that goes to show how biased people here are against Toyota. Well, I would say that the bias extends further than this thread, but the point is well made. Its developed into some sort of conspiracy theory, and there are many who can't seem to resist in believing in them. JFK, Roswell, 9/11, moon landing, you name it... NO AMOUNT of proof will ever be sufficient to change their opinions. Its almost as if some people live in an alternate reality. Closer to home, the Audi experience shows what the public/Toyota can expect to see over the next several years, although IMO I think Toyota will fare better, if for no other reason than Audi "blazed the trail" for this type of event/criticism, and much of the public has been "desensitized" by their experience.
