Re: Same issue 2008 chevy LTZ tahoe [lockgremlins] by kiawah on Sun Feb 20 12:48:50 PST 2011

Haven't ever had to do it on either of my Suburban's (knock on wood). But have replaced them before on my Vette, and a couple on Chrysler T&C. Take off the inner door panel.

Re: plasma [stickguy] by crkeehn on Tue May 10 11:25:45 PDT 2011

There are plusses and minuses to both plasma and LCD/LED. LCD/LED are lighter and use less power, however the more recent plasmas are also energy star rated. Plasmas may have richer color, among other things, they are able to display a truer black, the LED based tvs are close but still don't display black. One thing that plasma does do very well is to display fast motion. If you are a sports fan you may appreciate that, there really is less blurring in the motion. A plasma will also display a wider viewing angle, LCD based have a somewhat narrow angle in which the picture is good. I purchased a 2010 model Samsung 42" plasma and have not regretted it. It may display some reflection but I haven't found it to be a major concern.

Re: Floor finale [imidazol97] by richard64 on Fri May 06 19:20:29 PDT 2011

Keith, as usual, you are a jewel to do the necessary research. You hit just the right model number---UN46D6000 by Samsung. I found it, too, and it doesn't have the 3D feature which suits me fine. At BB, the price is $1,164. I checked HH Gregg, Sears, Target, and Amazon for the same model. All of those sites are $5 more at $1,169. There is a HH Gregg in Raleigh, Cary, and Apex---all about an hour from me. I could get it from one of those stores or have it sent to BB here. I was reading where Samsung is #1 in the ratings now. I think that i would like to try that brand. Again, thanks so much for going to the trouble to look around for me. Richard

Re: Tires on 2009 Mazda6 [sedmund] by trinitywolf on Tue May 03 10:03:02 PDT 2011

I just got the DWS's on my 09 i GT after doing a lot of research. So far they handle very well. I would say about the same as my OEM Michelins. They do seem to have a quicker turning response. They also seem to roll down the road better, with less resistance but those two things could be my imagination. :)

Re: Head relay making buzzing sound? [bigbean73] by kiawah on Mon May 02 05:20:57 PDT 2011

That is correct. That relay is turned on by the combination of the integrated circuit "integration relay", and the column mounted headlight switch. The head relay, when turned on, provides power to the headlights.
