That one looks modified - wider wheels etc too... I've seen HRG's running up Prescott hill climb, and in historic races and sprints - they are really a post war vintage style car.

Wrong Air Filter Installed by coach21 on Wed Jun 02 06:57:04 PDT 2010

We were driving in Arizona and our Jaquar 2003 S-type suddenly lost all power and eventually came to a stop in the desert. It was discovered the mechanic who installed the air filter used the wrong one. How will this affect performance? We were towed 35 miles to a repair shop, had to stay the night in Prescott with no car!

Re: Dealers make TONS O' MONEY at INVOICE [andres3] by robsis on Thu Apr 29 08:12:42 PDT 2010

Funny as they gave me a 4 yr/45k maintenance package for a small fee..so I won't be paying for anything for awhile....Toyota is being quite generous these days when making sales...but I'm sure that the dealer will make money on this by billing Toyota... As to getting the dealers name out there (dealer stickers, lic plate frames, whatever), at least from my salespersons perspective, he thinks it works as we live over 100 miles away from his dealership and once he started selling cars up in my neck of the woods, he's seen a huge increase in sales over the last 5 years...and they don't advertise here at all...to him it's all word of mouth and people seeing his cars driving around in my community....and we had a Big City Las Vegas Dealer buy out our local Toyota dealership....and they lose quite a bit to Tim's in Prescott, the dealer we buy at....I think that Tim's, and their Toyota Fleet manager, just knows better how to treat people...in all the years we've bought cars there, we've never been treated poorly by anyone at any level...and that is saying something about a dealership. Now, in a big metro area like a Phoenix, it may not matter; however, it certainly does in a smaller community like where I live, Flagstaff, AZ....hard to say how much of this is word of mouth; however, advertising is cummulative, so I'm sure it all adds up together. Impressed w GM..Still bought Toyota by robsis on Thu Apr 22 09:35:02 PDT 2010

Well, having owned several GM and Toyota models in the past (most recently an 03 Avalanche and an 05 Highlander), my wife and I decided to check out both in our quest for a new vehicle for winter driving in Flagstaff, AZ. I was impressed with the Equinox/Terrain for '10. It certainly appears as if GM is truly on their way back to the quality they used to be known for (and the engineering, I might add)...but then we drove a '10 Hyundai Tucson and realized how much further GM still has to go to truly compete when you compare features and price. The dealership we go to, Tims Auto Group in Prescott, AZ, has GMC/Buick/Toyota/Hyundai/Subaru, and we worked with the Toyota fleet manager (the best, I might add....), who brought us one of everything we were trying to compare. A morning of driving everything side-by-side and researching all of the units we tried still lead us down the Toyota path for reliability, quality, features for the price, etc. An added plus is all that Toyota is now doing to make sure that the customer knows that they are king...and the showroom traffic that we saw convinced me that, although they are suffering from the bad publicity (I've never seen that many Prius's on a lot before...), they are quickly rebuilding themselves back to the prime player that they are. What's nice for us, the consumer, is that this hit they have taken has allowed other manufacturers (Ford, GM, Hyundai, Subaru) to have their products seen by many who, in the past, would not have even gone into those other showrooms. This can only lead to better autos and better customer service by all. Toyota's coming back...but this is a win-win for all of us, IMHO.

Addendum to post 210 by robsis on Thu Apr 22 09:10:02 PDT 2010

As an addendum to post #210 (since I've been asked), go to Tims Toyota in Prescott, AZ and ask for the fleet manager. He'll take great care of you...he's honest, has integrity, and doesn't play games....we've bought three vehicles from them (they also sell GMC, Pontiac, Subaru, Hyundai) and wouldn't consider going anywhere else. BEST dealership I've ever bought from....bar none.
