So we have to pick one, either the 304 Javelin at $3k or the 360 AMX for $2k? Neither car is running or drivable as is/where is. From the pics and description the 304 Javelin looks restorable maybe #5 condition and the 360 AMX looks like a #6 parts car. If forced to buy one, I guess I'll take the cheaper one and try to part out, sell bits and pieces, donate and then scrap what's left to offset the $2000 expense. But if I wanted a Javelin to drive, I think I'd skip both of these CL cars and buy a driver to begin with... There's a local car dealer from Powell who recently sold this '73 Javelin AMX for a bit over $4k. It's a rough #4 driver from the pics/description. But it was running+driving. Dealer was originally asking $7500, then put it up for bids on ebay no reserve, and got out of it at $4,300 -- a lot less! In other words, the market spoke. So what is a non-running faded '73 Javelin really worth on the market? Tidy things up, advertise on ebay with beaucoup pics and VIN number, then see what the market offers. It's probably not going to be $3,000.

Might it be Powell Crosley and his copper-jacketed engine that sprang leaks? But I don't put his engine designing status very high, so probably not...

the guy leading the NATO forces in Lybia is a Canadian.... Very good Fez, you keep good track of Canada and Canadians - maybe we will make you an honorary (or should that be honourary) citizen. It probably makes sense for a Canadian to lead as we are perceived to be a fairly neutral country. Classic case of if we going to do anything use the Powell doctrine - overwhelming force and be done. I would go along with that! Staying on topic, I wonder what kind of car is the big seller in Lybia?

Of course the guy leading the NATO forces in Lybia is a Canadian.... I have no idea what we are doing there either. Classic case of if we going to do anything use the Powell doctrine - overwhelming force and be done.

If this guy's page doesn't prove to you that excessive CO2 levels "CAN" increase global temps, then we might give up on you ever believing it. We weren't discussing "CAN" = possible; we were discussing whether it's proof that they "HAD or WERE" increasing temperatures significantly, despite all the other variables that can affect the Earth's temperature. A monkey "CAN" type an interesting novel; but what we're asking for is proof of the novel, not that it "CAN". I don't want our government to pay the monkey, buying the book, before they have proof it exists. And to be clear again - neither you or I have the data or climate models do we? Do you have the data and understand how it was collected and the errors? Or do you only have the report from people with a vested interest who are telling you what the data is, and that they're honest? There are very few people with access to the data, so there is no need to ask how do you get a conspiracy of thousands? You don't need a conspiracy of thousand, you only need a few people to manipulate the data-flow, and give it to thousands. Basically the same way a few people in the U.S. intelligence and Executive branch of the government convinced Colin Powell, the Congress and the American public that Iraq had WMD. A handful of people with the data, editted the data to tell the story they wanted, convinced the rest of the experts, and sold everyone a bunch of fairy-tales. Just as you had people who were glad to have "data" on WMD created their own reality, you have people who embrace the "data" of the heads of the GW-bureaucracies, and create their own reality based on their editted data.
