2004 toyota tacoma frame by barberjd on Thu Feb 24 08:33:03 PST 2011

I own a 04 tacoma sr5 trd ext cab. I take very good care of my vehicles and I have always been impressed with Toyota's reliability, durability, and gas economy. I heard about the frame issues and looked over my frame every oil change. During last fall (oct '10) I was looking the frame over and noticed around my leaf spring brackets that rust was showing. Then all along my welds on the frame. So I immediately took it to the Toyota Dealer (Andy's Toyota, Portsmouth, Ohio). They looked it over and said, it was the best frame they had seen. All they wanted to do was some prevenative maintenance. So they gave me a corolla loaner and a 5 days later I had a repainted and treated frame. They sprayed some type of gell inside of the frame and sent me on my way. It's now winter (feb '11) and the paint is peeling off in certain places. I have not seen any rust yet but I'm keeping a close eye. Has anyone got a buy back on a 04 Tacoma? What are my options from here?

isuzu ? by unsureshawn on Wed Dec 15 15:56:40 PST 2010

SO, I received my letter for the recall on monday at 3:00pm, I called the number and set it up , they showed up at 5:00 pm with a flat bed to pick it up. They told me they were taking it to Peters of Nashua. on wednesday around 1:30 I figured I would just check Peter's as noone had contacted me. Nate at Peters told me my car was not there! they didnt even know it was comming ? so he said I would have to call isuzu back and I did. after getting thru I was transfered several times until finaly a lady came on and started giving me a hard time telling me its not the truck drivers fault , he did what he was told to do and that I needed to go to peters and look for it ! and she proceded to tell me where he parked it, come to find out Isuzu had passed me off to the dispatcher at roadside assistance ! So I again called the dealer and they were really good and actualy walked the lot and still no rodeo ! I called the line once again and got transfered again to roadside assistance ! I hung up and called the original 1 800 255 6727 where I was again transfered and left on hold several times, finally they came back on and said they felt it was delivered to Portsmouth instead of Nashua ! I informed them that the transportation company confermed that it was dropped off in Nashua, He said he would find out and call me back !!! At 6:30 I decided to call and found they did find it , it was at the honda dealer next door and the keys were put in a drop box in a building they no longer use ! and never did anyone say sorry for all this bull ship, I dont know why they had troubles in the states ! Now my unregistered Rodeo is sitting in Nashua and they wont even be looking at it until mid January? not sure why they came and got it now if they arent even going to look at it ? I hope something positive becomes of all this hassle, I was literally on the phone for about 2 hours looking for my car. I hope they figure this out as there are going to be aloyt of them soon and they will be more difficult to keep track of. Good luck to all

Thank you Edmunds! by heather_va on Fri Sep 03 11:38:17 PDT 2010

I felt so much more prepared to shop for a new car after using this site. I had the research on the cars, knew what my old car was worth and what others were paying for the same car. I felt that I was able to make a great deal on a new Volvo XC 60 that is a joy to drive! I couldn't believe I could get this car with more bells and whistles, especially safety features than a "less expensive car" that I commonly see on the road. Internet shopping made it a breeze and the salespeople were much more mellow and less pressuring. This was my first car buying experience on my own and I felt empowered from the knowledge gained from your site! Thank you Edmunds. Heather, Portsmouth, VA

2009 Ford Flex Limited by rsojka on Sun Sep 06 09:26:23 PDT 2009

After shopping for quite a while we finally found the Flex we were looking for. Portsmouth Ford (NH) had a Red AWD Flex Limited with a white roof. Options included the Class III Tow PKG, Rubber Matts, 2nd Row 40/40 rear seats, Vista Roof, Family DVD. MSRP was $41,760. Out the door price was $35,095. Easy dealership to deal with and great selection. Portsmouth Ford's no haggle price was the lowest I found after visiting six dealers.
