Wouldn't that put it IN the Gulf? Aren't you the observant one! Yes, I meant east of St Petersburg. Just watched 60 Minutes and it showed how bad the unemployment situation is in the USA. Worst since the depression. Kids going to bed hungry, people living in cars or with friends and relatives, and some of the worst places are in Florida. Hope things improve soon, not nice going on vacation and seeing poverty.
Yes, the place is west of St Petersburg Wouldn't that put it IN the Gulf?
Is you potential purchase connected to other units or does it stand by itself? Yes, the place is west of St Petersburg and south of Tampa, north of Bradenton. This place is across the Tampa Bay and a bit south of Largo. The units are in quads......one next to it and 2 behind. Because of the landscaping and the design they look like they are single detached houses. They each have 1 1/2 car garages, 2 bdrm, 2 bthrm, cathedral ceilings. There is a heated swimming pool and a club house with weights etc. Lots of grass and trees and narrow winding road through the survey.
Very nice house. Where is that located, near St. Petersburg? My BILs place is up in Largo off Park Blvd and is a condo project where the units are more like traditional apartments. Is you potential purchase connected to other units or does it stand by itself?
The temptation is great, I admit, as prices are so low. I really feel for those who have been caught in the real estate price spiral. I do too! It is a shame when people buy a house and then watch the value go down to half. So many people walk away because they can rent for a fraction of the cost. My Burlington Ont friend, we are going to get 6 to 8 inches of snow tonight. How can that compare to mid 70s and sunshine for one week, watching dolphins, eating seafood at all the good restaurants in the St Petersburg area, walking around in short sleeves and shorts in February? I do agree though, there is something to be said for peace of mind, and buying your vacation as it comes up. I learned my lesson a long time ago. Bought a little sailboat, thinking that would be fun and relaxing. It is hard work. Had to take a course, then buy a trailor, license, and insurance and worst of all figure out where to store the thing. I said after that, in most cases, it is better just to rent something like that if you are only going to use it a few times a year. Also, it wasn't too easy to sell in the end either.
