Re: VPP info [drewdogg808] by ecowboy on Fri Apr 15 20:28:01 PDT 2011

I just did a VPP purchase for a loaded 2011 QX56. It came with Theater, Touring, and Technology. Black on Black, captain's chairs, and optional wind deflector, cargo/first aid kit, illuminated kick plates, tinted windows, and bumper protector. MSRP was $74,665 and the VPP price was $69,135 also with no dealer prep fees...so I saved $5530+500 dealer prep. I got 3.1% 63 month financing. No trade in. I tried to deal with Sewell in Houston but they would not offer VPP for a QX56 equipped with anything better than the theater package. We googled the internet and found this vehicle in Louisville, KY at Swope Infiniti. They were willing to honor VPP so I drove 2400 miles roundtrip to trailer the vehicle home to Texas. Wife is loving the QX56, especially the technology package components. Thanks for all the informed posts here on this forum which definitely provided the necessary info I needed for my purchase.

Re: 2008 Accord EX I4 auto sedan quotes [gray_dude] by dwynne on Thu Oct 18 08:52:35 PDT 2007

In that area, I would try Sam Swope in Louisville. I have sent a lot of folks to get cars from them - my boss, boss' son, friends, strangers, and my daughter. My S2000 came from there as well. They do have a hefty doc fee, but (in most cases) the discounted price more than makes up for it. Let me know what you are looking for and I can try to get you a price quote - or you can just go through their web site for an internet quote. As to floor mats, nearly every Honda now comes with them standard in any trim level. I know they should come with every Accord. They are not included with the Civic DX, however. Accord interior features list The all season (rubber) mats are $102 plus shipping online from H&A, but shop around for the best price. Dennis

Here's a 1981 Champion for sale: http://louisville.craigslist.org/rvs/2271457434.html I think it's kinda neat because it's a bit wider than a regular van, but still narrower than a regular motorhome. It actually looks pretty big on the inside too, for its external dimensions. Sometimes pictures can be deceiving, though.

Re: teasing, part II [kyfdx] by roadburner on Mon Apr 04 16:43:57 PDT 2011

Maintenance on a 944 would probably be 3X the cost of an E36. A 944 that has been properly maintained isn't horribly expensive to service- although an E36 would still be less expensive to run. What you NEVER want to do is buy any European car that has been neglected. There is a used car dealer in Louisville who somehow wound up with a Lancia Beta. I could probably get it for under $3K but I know that it would be a bear to find parts for it. Best case scenario is a nice 318ti turns up. My kid loves mine but he's only driven it once; he thinks that I'd kill him if he bent it. He's probably right... ;)
