I experimented with the rear shocks on my 07 TC. It's counterintuitive because of the air springs. The factory shocks are of very high pressure (off the car, your body weght might get them to compress an inch, if that). I put on very soft Delco shocks and, surprise of surprises, the rear end rode like a truck. It seems the high pressure shocks act like supplemental springs in the rear. The lower pressure shocks let the body settle lower than the factory shocks did, similar to a 300 pounder getting into the back seat, and the air springs pumped up to regain the original ride height. Of course the car didn't weigh 300 lbs more, so the higher pressure in the air springs ruined the ride. I think Ford went with softer Monroes in the 2009-10 models and this did the same thing. The front suspension has coil springs, so the softer shock will result in a softer ride. But the design is similar to a strut with the shock body supporting the bottom of the spring, so you can't just replace the shock with anything you might find at Autozone. I had two 2010 models for a day each and I couldn't get over how stiff the ride was. My salesman found me an 07 driven by a little old lady from Garland, TX with only 7k miles on it. I drove it for 10 minutes and I bought it.

I brought the car used from automax in killeen, texas. Does anyone know if there is a 40,000 mile check that needs to be done on the transmission? My transmission went out and i have 50,079 miles and the warranty just went out and it will cost over 3,000 with the discount? I only ask because if that is the case and the dealership never did a lookup on the transmission i should be remibursed. I was told that by the service manager(automax) that they did and when i went to the dealership in garland? that the transmission hasnt been looked @ and it can dectected can anyone one help? Also i pulled up on the internet recalls 2006 c230(power train :automatic transmission) bulletin date:2008 12-01,.. pull it up and see if it has anything to do with any of your vehicals..

2008 Honda Fit Battery by brucemay on Sun Feb 15 18:10:35 PST 2009

Please refer to: http://www.fitfreak.net/forums/1st-generation-gd-01-08/37770-2007-honda-fit-orig- inal-battery-dead-two-years.html#post559909 I bought my 2008 Honda Fit Sport on 4/1/2008 and at 5,000 miles my battery went kaput. Others have had this problem with the battery as indicated in the above forum. The dealer did not have a replacement battery nor did auto parts stores. The battery was ordered by the dealership and they had to pay for a rental car until the replacement battery unit arrived. One Honda Dealership in San Antonio, Texas had 26 Honda Fits with bad batteries and had to wait on receiving them. Not enough batteries were manufactured and a new supply needed to be supplied. Has anyone on this forum had the same problem and can answer the following questions: 1. Why is the battery different from regular batteries? 2. What is a suitable replacement for the battery? 3. Does the Honda Fit have a special alternator? 4. Is there a problem with jump starting the battery? 5. Can the battery be recharged using a normal battery charger?

Best Explanation that I've seen that answers the question correctly!
