Yes indeed its Culvers and they have excellent items for our grandkids, our son, and grandpas to eat. I make sure to get to that restaurant at least 4 times when we are in Rockford/Roscoe. I love the country and especially reminded me of our Bay Area. And we drove to Galena and stayed one night. Delightfully old churches that bring back memories. Oh, when we had a high speed chase, i remember another CHP car chasing the same one we were after but the other CHP car was ahead of us. So the officer with his pushbumper, struck the back of the strong armed robber's car. It lost control and crashed into a cement barrier, and stopped. We put some revolvers on them and they went to jail and did not pass Go to collect $ 200. (I enjoy playing Monopoly with my grandsons) Reflecting, sometimes the excitement almost got me killed but I finally retired and don't miss the 100 mph chases at night/day, anytime. Good luck to all and stay safe, and enjoy an exciting (I hope) Super Bowl. jensad

My problem was on a 2004 Freestar. Had exact same issues as you. Once in my driveway and the last time while doing 60+mph on the winding two lane road outside Galena. Everything you need is posted on this site. Google National Highway Transportation Safety Administration/NHTSA and file your complaint. Make sure you have your vin # available at that time. Good luck to you. After the van was "fixed" I took an offer from the dealership and sold them the vehicle for about 12% of what I paid for it brand new. All in all, it was worth it not to put my family in danger.

Are you serious? Yep serious, my sister is in the demography (more urban liberal yuppie type) that went wild for the Miata when they first came out. She and many of her friends got them. Not one had a manual. Maybe ten years ago up in the Galena, IL area we happened to go up there when a Miata club was there. I strolled through the parking lot of the ski resort they all ended up at looking at the Miatas and I remember thinking that it was a shame that so few had manual trannies.

Is there any history about that picture? Where? What? Can't tell you the history of that but it is on Blackjack Rd a couple of miles outside of Galena IL. However I would not be surprised if that wasn't an early outlet for Sears mail order in the early days of Sears.

Careful, you need to look at the transaction costs!! You may actually lose money by trading in. There are taxes, fees, higher insurance? and the good old car payment. The car payment will likely be higher than your gas savings. We took a little day trip up to Galena last weekend and was listening to a Rockford radio station and a dealership was running ads for leasing Hyundais and Mazdas at $249/month and stating that you can dump your low MPG gas guzzler and make up the payment in gas savings. I was thinking that there was no way that you could do that, you have to have real bad mileage or the cars they were hawking produced gas as you drove them.
