Re: Tires for Mazda3 [autonomous] by shipo on Tue May 10 02:15:42 PDT 2011

Especially so when you consider that many Mazda3s shod with the Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires don't even go 20,000 miles on the original set. :P

Suggestion on New Tires for CX9 Grand Tour by dbro on Fri Dec 25 09:37:28 PST 2009

I need new tires for the CX9 grand Tour. Any recommendation on which ones are good. The dealer is telling me to replace it with GoodYear Eagle RS-A. I have a 2007 CX9 Grand Tour

New Tires by ohc6sprint on Mon May 02 18:48:41 PDT 2011

Just replaced my original 225/50/18 Goodyear Eagles with B. F. Goodrich Advantage TA tires. I was satisfied with the Goodyears on my 2008 Saturn Aura, they lasted 32,000 miles and had 3/32 tread left. The Goodrich tires seem to ride smoother, but that may be due to fresher or more supple rubber. They are T rated, 650 treadwear rating, 75,000 mile warranty and they were made in the USA. I couldn't pass up the deal, Sam's Club had them for $105 each which includes road hazard, free rotations and balancing. Installation was free, but that offer ended in April. Thats $453 out the door with 7% tax and $1 disposal fee per tire.

Re: Tires for Mazda3 [JBaumgart] by autonomous on Mon May 02 13:54:55 PDT 2011

may I ask where you found this list? The list is whatever we want it to be. I'm gathering opinions to hear what other Mazda3 drivers have experienced. I've added yours! + Michelin Pilot Sport A/S + Continental Extreme Contact DWS (some say "conditional"; some say "extremely happy with them") ? Bridgestone Turanza 400 (2011 OEM) - Goodyear Eagle RS (OEM on earlier Mazda3) - Toyo Proxi "every report I've read ... seem(s) to be pretty negative"

Re: VW automatics [yerruf] by bpeebles on Mon Oct 25 17:06:09 PDT 2010

I had 2 cars car with an automatic xmission ... 1976 Chevy Blazer and 1981 AMC Eagle. I *much* prefer manual xmission for several reasons. *) I can shift better than any automatic *) Automatic costs more to buy and more to maintain *) Automatic gets less MPG than manual xmission. As long as my left knee holds out, I will drive manual xmissions.
