Picked up an EX-L last weekend (no RES, no NAV). Paid 33,300 for the car + $389 processing + VA taxes, title. Added rear back up sensors for the wife for $380. Got 1.9% financing. Dealer wanted $1418 for Honda Care warranty, but I'll pick that up through Hyannis Honda for half the price. Maybe not the greatest price for the car, but I was comfortable with it and we were done in about 10 minutes. Decided to pass on the built in RES to avoid kids constantly asking to watch. Will use portable system we had in our old CR-V and pick up an iPad and mount.
We just traded in our CR-V for an Odyssey. Similar family circumstances with 2.5 yr old and infant. We found our 06 CR-V just too small. Last year with only 1 kid, the CR-V was packed to the gills for our week trip to the beach. Maybe you guys are ligther packers, but we were going to need roof storage for this year's trip if we kept the CR-V. My wife really loves the power sliding doors on the minivan for kids at this age. Easy for her to pop them open when have a lot of stuff. That's an option not available on any SUV or crossover. Another consideration for us was that we live far from our families, so they always fly in and we often goo on several roadtrips a year to visit. With the CR-V and two kids, we'd have to take two cars everywhere when the grandparents visit. With the van, everyone can fit comfortably on outings. Good luck!
>craigslist... Craigslist robbery victim recovering from bullet in jaw "A 19-year-old man is recovering from a gunshot wound to his jaw after two men robbed him Thursday night during what was supposed to be the sale of a dirt bike advertised on Craigslist.org. "Authorities said the shooting is part of a recent rash of local robberies involving items for sale on the popular website. Thursdays robbery was the first involving a shooting. "Trotwood police Sgt. Fred Beck said the victim, the stepson of a Dayton police officer, was released from Miami Valley Hospital on Friday. He said doctors left the bullet in the mans jaw, and that his injury is non-life threatening. "Beck said the man was shot in the face near Gardendale Avenue and Watkins Place about 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The victim, accompanied by a woman, drove a pickup truck with the motor bike in its bed when they met two men for the sale. "One of the two men shot the seller in the face and apparently fled on the bike that was for sale."
Compared to Sienna and Odyssey boards this place is dead. Anyone recently buy a 2011 T&C care to share info? We're looking at Touring-L with entertainment, enter-n-go and nav. TrueCar showing price of $31,676 including $750 incentive.
Shouldn't Dayton be using GM vehicles? I've read several times that studies show a slightly longer yellow does more to reduce accidents than camera's accomplish.
