Re: A quasi sales story... [kyfdx] by graphicguy on Fri Jun 25 05:33:47 PDT 2010

kyfdx....thanks for the input. I'll put you down as a "positive" reference for R&B. They did a good job on my water heater, too. To me, it's more about the installation and longevity of the installing company than it is the brand when it comes to HVAC. The Goodman I'm looking at comes with a 10 year parts and labor warranty, plus a lifetime heat exchanger warranty. That should just about cover anything for a good long while as long as R&B is around (and they've been around a good long while). If I were a betting man, I'd say I won't even be living in my present home in 10 years, anyway. Just waiting for some real signs of a real estate recovery to put the GG estate up for sale to move into something smaller, with less maintenance....maybe even something on your side of the river in Covington or Newport. :)

Re: My local dealer is awful (Covington LA) what to do? [mandsecretshop] by alamocity on Thu Oct 01 12:35:25 PDT 2009

I'd definitely look into other dealerships before buying from a dealership you don't feel comfortable with. As for service that shouldn't make any difference where you bought it from and can have the service done at the dealership closest to you.

My local dealer is awful (Covington LA) what to do? by mandsecretshop on Wed Sep 30 20:52:55 PDT 2009

I like the Honda Oddessy van. I recently tried to buy one in fact. But the sales staff at my local dealership is horrible. I refuse to give any commission to people like that. How can I get around them to buy the car? I thought about driving to the next town (and would clearly save money in doing so) but worry that service would be a hassle. Do I risk that I would simply never have to use the service department???? Open to suggestions/ solutions.

Re: 2009 Honda Odyssey Ex-L for $29900 plus TTL [car_shopper2] by odynuby on Fri Jun 05 10:37:12 PDT 2009

Hi car_shopper2. That's sounds high with no RES or Nav. I just bought my Ody EX-L with RES for $29,610 includes delivery plus TTL from Covington. They were easy to deal with. Look at one of my older post that shows a breakdown of what I paid including TTL. Good Luck.

Re: 2009 Odyssey EX-L w/RES (S.E. Louisiana) [swampfox28] by odynuby on Sun May 31 21:50:19 PDT 2009

Hi Swampfox Got quotes from 4 dealerships for the Ody EX-L w/RES. The EX-L +R/N was $2K more. I dealt with Covington. Spent a total time of 2 hours in the office, which included test drive, app., and paperwork. I didn't pay for stripes, paint/fabric protectant, and wheel locks. I was not able to get the same deals posted from the east and west coast but was acceptable to the one from this dealership. Give my your email and I'll forward the info to you regarding whom I deal with.
