Hi Pauladkins The sticker price on the mdx with advance, was $ 55000. We paid $ 48000 which included a luggage rack. The advance model according Edmunds info has the tech within the advance add on Since we will be traveling across the USA we wanted the full boat which the safety stuff in also a part of the advanced. If you contact Concord Acura speak with Terry Dudley the sales person. He will be helpful to you to decide. Also they have a lot of mdxs with various add ons. The reason we decided to buy from Concord Acura was I had purchased my 08 RL there at a price of $ 42500 when the sticker was 52k. This time the dealer offered a 11 % discount with out "negociaton" and I figured it saved us vs. them negociations so i accented to the deal. We also got $ 17500 tradein on our 06 Pilot, with 37000 k but with body damage. Blue book was close to $ 17500. The problems in Japan is beginning to carry over into the supply and demand inventory over here. I.e. I have a feeling that the dealers will begin to not sell their big selling models at a discount as before. JMO, but Terry mentioned it and I assumed that the dealers will get a higher price now. Pls let me know how you do Paula. Also I paid cash and did not finance the mdx. Good luck to all and stay safe. jensad
I gave up last week on getting an MDX. No one wanted to give me a decent deal. I didn't try Concord. When you say 11% off what? All the dealerships weren't even close to Kelly's Blue Book values, so I am surprised to hear you got a decent trade in value.
He keep working until age 85, and, actually bought three more cars after the BMW. He had his hips replaced, and, went looking for some really comfortable car seats. He switched over to big Chryslers. He bought a couple of the big long-nosed plush monsters, and, his final car was a Chrysler Concorde. Mom had me sell it after Dad passed away 4 years ago. Regards: Oldbearcat
I visited about four dealerships in the Bay Area but we settled for the local dealer in Concord as they gave us the vehicle we wanted and they gave us time to decide what color ect and the price and trade in was in line with blue book. I calculated the discount on the mdx and it was about 11 %. I thought it was fair so I did not hassle over a bigger discount. (My 08 gl purchased there in 06 I got a 18 % discount after "playing the game" in 2008 but this time they offerred the discount so I took it.) Terry was our sales representative and he is very professional and knowledgable, and I don't usually say that unless he/she treated us as human beings first, knows what he/she is talking about and then takes the time to allow us to make a decision. We also got a ticket to the openning of Thor at the local movie house. First time that every happened to me and we had a good time. And the movie is pretty good to. Good luck to all and stay safe. jensad
nice crop of cars there, and I'm seeing a lot that I wouldn't mind having. I like both that '75 Delta 88 and the '76 LeSabre coupe. A lot of people probably find that '74-76 hardtop roofline to be awkward, but somehow I think it manages to work. I really like that '59 Pontiac ambulance. I saw a '61 similar to it in the junkyard back in the early 90's, and thought wow, that would be a cool car to have! I bet it would cost a fortune to restore! And that '79 5th Ave is really nice. I think if a really nice R-body NY'er or 5th Ave ever pops up for sale locally, or at the Carlisle shows, I might go ahead and buy it...provided the price is not TOO unreasonable. It'd be cheaper in the long run than trying to fix up either one that I have right now! There's no way either of mine could be made to look that nice for $6250! But then, at the same time, if anything happened to either of mine, I wouldn't cry too much. But I'd have a fit if I had one that nice, and something happened to it! As for that cheapskate Concorde, I'll say! With only 17K miles, the original owner was too cheap to even drive it! And if the current owner really got 26 mpg out of it, he must have been hyper-miling like crazy, drafting tractor trailers, etc... That car just looks like a punishment to me. It's the type of car that if a relative offered to give it to me, I'd probably politely decline. Someone did offer to give me a '75-76 Hornet wagon back in the early 90's, and I refused. I helped them get it to the junkyard though, where they got $90 for it!
