Locate an Auto Repair Shop in Columbus, Michigan

If you don't want the leather seats, automatic climate control, Heated front seats, fog lights, 18" better looking wheels, etc. then the LX is for you. I personally want the luxury items that are available on the EX. I guess at my age (55) I still want the extras even though we downsized when we bought this vehicle. It depends on your budget more than anything. If you can buy the LX and maybe get no more than a 3 year loan that makes more sense to me. I personally do not want anymore than a 3 year loan on any vehicle.

The dealer is MAG Volvo of Dublin (in Columbus, OH). you can google for their contact info. I just finished the tank come with the car...399 miles and fill the tank with 16.0 gallon of gas, so the gas milage is 399/16=24.6 MPG, while the computer on the car showing 22.9 MPG so far. This is with 85% highway driving around 70 miles per hour. I think their 22 MPG highway milage is too concervative ( I think it is likely you will get 25-26 MPG if you drive all highway at 60 mph).

I tried to negotiate with the 2 Acura dealerships in the St Louis area and they didn't come close to the offers I got from the Chicago area. They both started with the invoice price and asked to make a "reasonable" profit. What a bunch of BS. I ended up getting a base MDX in Orland Park, IL, in the color combo I wanted (Grigio/Taupe) for $39,660 including destination. This is not the absolute lowest price that I was quoted, but the internet salespeople were super nice guys. They were able to complete the credit application over the phone to ensure that I got the 0.9% rate over 36 months. Another dealer in the Chicago area didn't want to complete the credit application until I go in, so I didn't go with them. Bought a one way ticket to Columbus with a layover at Chicago (saved me $35 by doing this versus buying the ticket to Chicago), got out at Chicago, jumped in the cab and went down to the dealership. They even helped me with the cab fare. Drove 300 miles to get back to St Louis. Saved me about 2 grands.

You won't find much love in Ohio from low gas prices. We were at $4.15 then dropped to 4.05 and rose to 4.19 and now are dropping to $4.05 at Rt. 42 west of Columbus (Pilot, BP, Speedway) on I-70 and at Huber Heights Rt 202 (BP, Speedway, Kroger, and Rt. 201 (Shell, Marathon, Meijer) along I-70. I suspect they may drop lower on Thursday.

Well the reason I'm only just starting to like the car is that I was used to owning a Mercury Mountaineer AWD V8 that was loaded. I loved that vehicle, but with the price of gas going up we didn't think it would be wise to buy a large vehicle again. To me none of the smaller crossovers compare to that vehicle. But we had to face the reality of an administration that is focused on causing the price of all energy to rise to unaffordable levels. Just so we can drive little cars that run on electric which we plug into an outlet where the power is created by a coal burning plant. Also, we can have a windmill in every yard for our electicity and don't forget the solar panels. After spending about $20,000 we can have a house that's energy efficient. Just think of a family of 5 going on vacation in a prius. We can buy 2 of them just to make the trip. One for the passengers and one for the luggage. You mentioned in another post that you don't need all those extras. Well at my age I want and expect them in the car I buy. I want leather, heated/cooled seats, sunroof, etc. I hope that they keep adding little goodies.
