I filled my wife's CX-7 up on Saturday at a Shell station in Colorado Springs. PUG was listed at $3.979 / gal. I almost traded my 2006 Mazda3 s 5-door for a 2008 MAZDASPEED3 5-door Grand Touring with the same turbocharged 2.3L used in the CX-7. The insurance premium increase ($2600 vs. $1250/year) and 3% higher APR rate (I got a deal on the '06 at 1.9%) were deal-breakers, but the Premium-Fuel requirement also concerned me. The dealer let me take the SPEED3 for the weekend and I wanted to see how it would handle Regular 87-octane....it wasn't pretty.

Where I live, it's Kroger... Gets me $0.10 gallon off at Shell (price actually changes on the pump).. Same here .. Kroger owns King Soopers / City Market in Colorado, so for every $100 spent, you get $.10 off a gallon. Good at both the grocery store stations as well as Shell. If you don't have 100 or more points, the grocery store station still gives you $.03 off per gallon, but that doesn't apply to the Shell station.

Re: Tacoma for Travel Trailer Towing? Power? [tent2tt] by eric100 on Tue May 10 07:19:37 PDT 2011

I have a Tacoma 2001 V6 4x4 5spd. Two wheeled drive may be nice on the flat ground and highway but if you run into a situation where you have to climb a small grade on gravel you'll appreciate having 4 wheel drive. I'm have watched at times where vehicles could not climb a grade on gravel because of wheel spin. I tow a Trial-lite B19 travel trailer with my Tacoma and have found it to have plenty of power for climbing hills at 50 mph. My travel trailer weighs around 3,000 lbs loaded. I've been as high ast 9 to 10,000 feet on some of the highways here in Colorado and I haven't had any problems. My gas mileage is about 14 to 15 mpg in the mountains and higher at lower altitudes. I also have over 200,000 miles on my truck and it still pulls the travel trailer without any problems.

You mean "Get your car scratched to heck for cheaper gas." I never run any of my rides through those automatic car washes. I filled my wife's CX-7 up on Saturday at a Shell station in Colorado Springs. PUG was listed at $3.979 / gal. I also needed to get it washed so I answered "Y" on the touch screen. Reduced my gas price by .10 / gal. Cost me $58 to fill up, plus $9 for the wash. Yeah, I spent $9 to save $1.50, but the car needed to be washed ... badly. I only use touchless automatic car washes .. no scratches that way.

I don't normally post what I see, but I'm making an exception. In Colorado Springs on Sunday, I spotted either an R32 or R34 Skyline. RHD and everything. With Wyoming plates! I thought everybody in Wyoming drove pickup trucks. Later in the day, I saw a silver Ferrari. - 360, maybe? Not the best looking color for those - gotta be either red or yellow.
