PLEASE. Thank You, Terry McCullough Clarksville, TN. 37042 owner of a Pontiac Grand Am GT (2001) having same problems and more!!
I was shocked, I actually got a call back from GM about my Grand Am. They assured me that all my problems were being looked in to. Unfortunately like someone had mentioned in a previous post, not enough people actually call or email GM (Pontiac) about their issues they are having and the issues they are having are problems that ALOT of Grand Am owners are having. Also some of these problems people are having with their Grand Am's are not SAFETY issues so they are not considered a priority by GM (Pontiac). This is what I sent to CAC@PONTIAC.COM; ALL THIS NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO BY GM PONTIAC. I HAVE SPENT ALL DAY READING ABOUT THESE PROBLEMS ONLINE AND THE WEBSITE, Pontiac Owner Center | hosted by Yahoo! DOESNT HELP ANY. PLEASE HELP, WE ALL NO WHAT THE PROBLEMS ARE. I DO ANYWAYS BUT I DONT HAVE THE KIND OF MONEY THAT THE DEALERSHIP WANTS TO REPAIR SOMETHING FAULTY. TERRY MCCULLOUGH CLARKSVILLE, TN. 37042 t.mccullough@cdelightband.net Please Read but be advised there is tons more! I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am GT, I'm having the same problems with the SECURITY / PASSLOCK system as is everyone else here is mentioning. I called GM "they don't care" It's going to cost a small fortune to get the problems fixed. My local dealer, Wyatt Johnson in Clarksville, Tennessee wouldn't even hook up the computer to see what error codes were showing without a fee.
I went to Ourisman Honda and Volkswagen dealer in Laurel, MD. They are a very dishonest Honda dealer. I would recommend everyone to stay away from them. I have been on the phone weeks talking with Erick( the sales rep) for a 08 Honda Odyssey EX-L with DVD and NAV. Erick and i had a verbal commitment on the price of the car. Infact, i had asked Erick to send me in an email, the prices for each item that they would charge to drive the car out of the Lot. Erick always refused to provide me with something in an email. He always said to me to come to the dealership, and he guaranteed to me that i would get a much better deal than another dealer. Erick infact agreed to beat the quote that i had received from Jim Coleman Honda in Clarksville,MD for a 08 odyssey EX-L by $200 what they were charging for just the cost of the car. After Erick gave me his verbal commitment on the price, Erick's boss, Steve Cole, called me on the phone and went over the prices for the items that Ourisman Honda would charge me. They both agreed to sell me the 08 Odyssey EX-L with a DVD and NAV for $28,184. They agreed to charge, $635 for freight, 6% MD sales tax, 2 years Tags for $222, and a $100 processing fee. I live 45 minutes from the Dealership. So, after i make the trip to the dealership at the agreed appointment time, Erick is too busy with another customer. Steve doesn't even bother to talk to us. They send ,Ryan, another salesman who has no idea what Erick and Steve had agreed on with me. I mentioned to Ryan that we had driven 45 miles and were ready to close the deal on an odyssey. Instead, Ryan starts taking me to the lot to show their odyssey's. He had no clue of the Odyssey's that I was interested in. Ryan comes back with a quote of $32,800 with an $1599 appearance package, after talking with Steve Cole, the manager, when Steve and i had agreed on a Total Final Price of $30,888 without any appearance package charge during our phone conversations. When i ask Ryan to bring Erick or Steve over, he refuses and mentions to me that they are both busy and can not come over. He also mentions to me that they both don't remember ever mentioning the price that i am quoting to him. I was so furious that i drove 45 minutes for nothing. I wish Erick and Steve had mentioned to me that they can not offer the 08 odyssey EX-L with DVD and NAV for that price before i had driven 45 minutes to make the trip to Laurel, MD. I recommend to anyone who is thinking of buying a Honda car from Ourisman Honda and Volkswagen in Laurel, Maryland to stay away from this dealership. They are very dishonest and are cheats. They will tell you one thing over the phone and when you get their the salesman is rude and starts acting smart with the customer. Hope this helps someone who is thinking of buying a car from this dealership. I had a bad experience with them. apollo
It's Jim Coleman Honda in Clarksville MD. It's in the Columbia area I believe. I'm heading up there today. The guy from webuycars.org came to appraise my car today. He claims I'll get screwed even if the dealer says they'll match the amount for my trade. Why do I care if they use their dealer cash to get my car for less as long as it comes off the new car price in full? As it is, the dealer claims they will break even on this as I think I ate into their dealer cash.
