2003 Pilor EX AC Intermitent by jhnydrmr on Tue May 10 16:07:16 PDT 2011

I'm thinking this might be the same problem. The AC was working fine and I was about 10hrs into a trip when the control panel blanked out (nothing on the LCD and buttons do nothing) When this happened the rear blowers came on full and appeared to be cold. It came back on a few minutes later and stayed on for a bit before repeating the same symptoms. Now its sort of hit and miss. I also noticed that the outside temp was not reading anything either. Not sure if that is related. I'm a long way from home and its hot down here in South Carolina.

Haven't ever had to do it on either of my Suburban's (knock on wood). But have replaced them before on my Vette, and a couple on Chrysler T&C. Take off the inner door panel.

Drove thru 42 states. Would stop at the welcome stations and pick up the cheap motel/hotel books. Picked a nice motel that offered free breakfast. Would start our drive after breakfast and would start looking for a motel before 5PM. If we liked the area we would stay more than one day. Many beautiful places to see in the good ole USofA.

Presumably none of these were ever seen over with you apart from Lotus and Marcos.... For the most part, that's true. I've seen a couple of Rochdale Olympics advertised in the US over the years, probably more of these than either Ginetta or Marcos actually. But Fairthorpes--not a chance. I have a lingering fondness for the British cottage-industry cars. I was passed on a freeway in North Carolina once by a baby-blue Gilbern Invader at a truly impressive pace.
