Thanks for responding. It is the right rear tire and as far as I can see there is nothing stuck up there. There could be a few culprits. 1) When was rear differential fluid changed, and with what? You can only use Honda DPF, DPF II, or Showa Dual Pump Fluid in there. Since Showa does not sell retail in the US, Honda DPF/DPF II are your only choices. 2) When were brakes serviced? Honda recommends at least once a year brake cleaning to prevent the sliding calipers from binding. If you live in a snow/rust belt, then I would do this twice a year. In the spring after the last snow fall, and in the fall before winter sets. Honda recommends using Molukote-77 as lubricant.
Hi I am a Canadian and I want to import a car that I just bought from Buffalo to Canada. The car will be shipped from California to Buffalo. I will pick it up from Buffalo. My question is, am I allowed to drive it on the roads in Buffalo in order to reach the border on Lewiston Bridge? Would I have to pay any taxes in Buffalo? In California, I have to pay 9% taxes for getting the car under my name. I'll have to pay taxes, once again, in Canada. It's a loss-loss situation for me. Do I have to pay taxes for getting a temporary number plate/tag in Buffalo if I want drive my car from Buffalo to Toronto? Or can I ask the dealer to give me a tag from California, would it be ok for my to drive me car in Buffalo and in Toronto on this tag/number plate? Thank you.
You're not alone. My GM vehicles and those of people I know have also been extremely reliable. A co-worker of mine still has his 1987 Chevrolet Caprice Classic as well as a 1991 Chevrolet Caprice Classic which is his daily driver. His wife has a new Impala and a three year-old Malibu. I know this guy - he's a tightwad who would squeeze a nickle until the buffalo craps. No way would he tolerate costly unreliable vehicles.
Blew by the trucking exits in VA the other day advertising $3.55 and wound up paying a dime more. Filled up this afternoon in Hamburg/Buffalo for $3.75 for regular. Saw a forty plus cent differential between premium and diesel in many areas of Virginia the other day which surprised me. Usually it's just a dime or so most places. We're in Niagara Falls Ontario tonight but shouldn't need gas until we get back in the US over at Sarnia/Port Huron.
My wife hasn't told me which way we're heading south this trip. :-) We may head down the west side of the lake and visit our old stomping grounds in Madison and then go through Illinois. Coming home via my sister's in VA so we may just go to Buffalo and cut across to Port Huron, and miss Ohio entirely. It would be fun to spend a day in Canada paying $1.20 for gas. Let's see, 3.9 liters to a US gallon, so gas in Ontario is running around $4.55 a gallon. :)
