My wife keeps her seat almost upright. In this position, the head restraint pushes her head forward a lot. Finally, I took the restraint out and put it in backwards--problem solved and she really likes it in this position and it still provides protection. Hope this helps.
Andre, you're right, it was the AMC 150, not a 151. And 17.3 seconds to 60 - ouch! But it worked great for 12 years in Alaska. Sold it to a teacher who shipped it off to Bethel, AK...wonder if it's still around!
I got my new Enclave 2 weeks ago-CXL AWD with ent. pkg 4 and all other goodies. I love it! I traded in a BMW X5 and I think it's the best thing I ever did. I have a little over 1000 miles on it so far and have run into several minor annoyances and wonder if anyone else has these items. I'm old so maybe I haven't learned all there is to know about the car yet. Is there a way to set the radio on/off so it doesn't always come on when you start the car? Mine always comes on and the only way I can turn it off (without turning off the Navigation Screen) is to hit the right hand button on the steering wheel. The Nav system works great when I set a destination with the buttons. However, the manual gives all sorts of commands for the audio and the nav that can be given with voice commands. I can't get any of the voice commands to work-I get a voice back that says the command isn't available or that it didn't hear anything I said. I do use the button that you hold for 2 seconds until you get a beep (very soft) and then say the command. Any help will be appreciated. I read some of the messages on this forum about dead batteries after a week or sometimes less. I noticed on my Enclave that the power ports are always on-even with the ignition off and the key removed. My previous cars had the power ports go off when you took the key out. I keep my cell phone charger plugged in and am wondering if it takes enough power to run down the battery? I wouldn't think that it would but--who knows?? Thanks to you all.
Oh duh, It's not an '03 it's an '06. Our Corolla is the '03... sorry. Anyhow this machine has 48,500 miles on it. The computer went out many many miles from the home dealership so this in effect is a second opinion on the water pump (kind of). Both have been replaced under warranty. Also when I picked it up the mechanic had noted that there was "a noise" coming from the air intake valve. That also seems quite odd.
Well, a lot of the '02s are more than 6-1/2 years old now, so they could have a lot of miles. How many miles do you have on yours? And if you always go to the same place for service, you may want to get a second opinion just to be sure you are not getting cheated. 3 water pumps (including the original) in anything less than about 250,000 miles seems excessive. Some dealerships have the attitude that any time they crack the engine cover for anything they might as well replace the water pump "while they are in there". Needless to say, this is an attitude that costs you a lot of money unnecessarily.
