When I purchased my used 06 Buick Lucerne, I also purchased the extended GM 3 year warranty. The finance manager told me that I had also purchased GAP and road hazard warranties. The latter was supposed to cover glass breakage and tire damage. He even told me to raise my comprehensive insurance deductible to $1000.00 since windshields would be replaced at no charge also any tires that were damaged within one year. Well, I hit a brick in the road an blew out a tire. I sent all the bill and other info to the warranty co. and was told I was not in the system. After several calls back an forth the finance manager tells me he forgot to charge me for the road hazard insurance and the $350.00 bill was mine. I', mot even sure if he is being truthful. I paid $2500.00 for that 3 year GM extended warranty, I can see that on the contract also GAP, but not the tire hazard. Do yyou think the dealership should at least pay half the bill for misleading me? They even gave me road hazard phamplets.
As I said, I loved both of my Suzuki's, but the Kizashi has been out about two years now I guess, and I have yet not seen one on the road. I live in the New Orleans/Baton Rouge area. What's the deal? They are fine looking cars and get great reviews.
I am about to begin shopping for an EX-L in the New Orleans area. Does anyone have any recent experience with prices and at which dealerships in this area? I also travel to Baton Rouge and Alexandria, LA and Conway, AR often and could purchase there if the price was better. Any recommendations or experience to share? Thanks, GHR
Agree with ya bud on this one...it's like the innovation is gone & hoping that their aging demographic will follow them no matter what. But guess what, they've tossed the baton to the competition, especially Hyundai/Kia ,who seem to have that fire in their gut that Honda once possessed but let burn out...they are no longer the trend setters, the "gotta have car no matter what the cost" that trend setters live for...the one's that have to lead & won't settle for anything less! And I'll admit also, Ford is the only American car company with the vision to know that Korea is the Japan of the '70's & '80's with each new product better than the last. Just look at the #'s, which I've always said don't lie. Forget the rental fleet #'s for a moment and see what's left...the new innovators are Hyundai/Kia & Ford. So with this new perspective, think we'll have no choice but to try the Focus & Fiesta for the wife's next ride. To do so would be just dumb, plain & simple. And who knows, she may be so impressed with the Ford products that she just might buy one!! :) The Sandman :)
I must say I agree with 99% of what you have posted. I couldn't have said it any differently. But I love the wet black tire look. To each his own.
