Score one for Uplanderguy, IMCDB agrees that it's a 1962 Dodge Custom 880. I guess no one recognizes the town but I do. I spent a lot of time in the upper Hudson Valley back in the late 60s-70s and the town is Great Barrington MA. The still was shot at the point where Main St. ends. Northbound traffic can go North on 41 to Housatonic MA or right onto 7/23 which takes you to either Stockbridge MA (home of the original but long gone Alice's Restaurant) or Monterey MA. Beautiful area, I highly recommend it. BTW- the film was Pretty Poison starring the delectable Tuesday Weld.

Re: How lease M56 that has not arrived in US yet [sewellgsm] by humble226 on Tue May 18 18:45:31 PDT 2010

Just got my M56 Sport fully loaded at $2500 over invoice from MotorWerks in Barrington IL. Not the best deal in the world (compared to some of my previous M45s), but it wasn't MSRP either, so I can live with it. Awesome car and great dealer, much easier to work with than some others in my area. :)

>flowers and buds everywhere now. Ahhhh, man. That's cruel to tell me that. We've had snow on the ground for weeks. Do you read Stuart Wood's novels? Stone Barrington bought an E55 with light armour plate and windows, and a certain motor, radar detectors built in, etc.

Re: Classy Christmas tv commercials [fintail] by xrunner2 on Tue Dec 22 18:19:20 PST 2009

Face brick mcmansions on questionably developed pastureland - that's where class lives! Maybe that is true on the left coast. Here in N and NE Illinois, there are "real" high end homes on great properties such as in Barrington Hills, Lake Forest, Highland Park, Bannockburn, etc. Good car commercials for upper end could easily be made here. But then again, upper end people don't need commercials to motivate them to buy their Mercedes, Lexus, BMW, etc. They just do it regularly no matter the economy.

Re: timing belt question - Engine Type (interfer or non-interfer) [canyon711] by mikek847 on Tue Oct 27 07:33:54 PDT 2009

I know that the 99 CR-V, 2.0L engine requires a timing belt replacement. Interfere type engine would cause a valve damage when the timing belt snaps whereas the non-interfere type does not. This depends on how the engine is designed. If there is a enough clearance between piston and the head when timing belt snap in high speed, valve will not be harmed but if there is not enough clearance, one of valve will snap and requires a replacement of valve and that could be a very costly repair. So the question is does this engine have enough clearance or not?
