In the Baltimore/Washington area, I suggest using the United Buying Service. We were able to use their quote to get a Elantra Limited at below invoice price at our local dealer.

In Maryland, Baltimore police and transportation officials are trying to correct a problem with 2,000 red light camera citations bearing the signature of a LONG deceased Police Officer. Hey in Chicago the dead can vote so why can't they sign tickets. But seriously do you have a link to this? Can you tell I'm against unconstitutional photo/camera enforcement? Whats unconstitutional about it?

Consider that officers don't issue a ticket to the deceased. There would be little point in that. I can one up that. In Maryland, Baltimore police and transportation officials are trying to correct a problem with 2,000 red light camera citations bearing the signature of a LONG deceased Police Officer. Apparently, with red light cameras, and the like and their ilk, not only can dead people be accused of violations, breaking the law, and cited by video and photos, but dead police officer's can issue them. So as to your point, since in most states the red light and photo radar ticket is only issued with a police officer's signature, apparently they do ticket dead people now. WHAT IS OUR COUNTRY coming to? Can you tell I'm against unconstitutional photo/camera enforcement?

Re: 2012 Impreza [xwesx] by lucien2 on Fri Apr 22 03:19:35 PDT 2011

Actually I really like it. And I like the roof rails too. For me, with a small family and a severe allergy to SUV's and wife who eschews vans, something like this new Impreza 5 door makes a compelling case for an urban family runabout. Longer trips? Pod and/or bikes up top. We use roof racks probably 3-4 times a month in the fair weather.

you know your car priorities have shifted a bit when... by lucien2 on Sat Apr 16 16:25:49 PDT 2011

....you're thrilled to have found an OEM roof bar system for taking the kids biking! :D Seriously though, the V70R has preset mounting points inside the door frames that are meant to receive a nipple on the OEM roof bar feet (made by Thule). They don't make them any more (everything is plastic these days) so I've been trolling the Volvo boards for months. FINALLY a set came up last week in MA, and they are now here at my house. Just got back from the bike shop with 2 top-of-the-line Thule carrier trays. Tomorrow morning I'll get the bars/feet cleaned up and rehab'ed, then get it all up on the car and take everyone to the local rail-trail.
